PDP right now is confused and think that the only way they can win 2023 presidency is by zoning the presidential ticket to the north but that's very wrong. In fact, they'll fail wolfly. PDP still have the highest chance to win the seat as they have the former president "GEJ" on their side. If PDP really wants to win the presidential seat, they should give the ticket to "GEJ". In no doubt they'll win. Even APC and the entire north would Welcome "GEJ" back to presidency. "GEJ" has recently shown his interest to be re-elected cum 2023 to complete his 2nd tenure. APC has shown some interest in "GEJ" recently due to his friendly and unbiased nature. Even those who frowned at him while as a president has apologised and regretted their actions. So, it is very clear that whoever (APC or PDP) uses "GEJ" as its presidential flag bearer would in no doubt win the presidency. "GEJ" is the only way for PDP to take back that seat. Right now, everybody needs someone who would calm "division agenda" and "insecurity" flaws.

In other words, zoning the ticket back to the north no matter who is there would not only make PDP fail but would lost hope in its supporters. A northerner cannot calm the people agitating for a "divided Nigeria" but a southerner would halt those agitators' "division ambitions" and "one Nigeria scheme". However, it depends on the choice of southerner. It has to be someone loved by almost all otherwise nothing would work if One Nigeria still wants to stand and choice of flag bearers has to start now so as to gently slow the break away scheme going on in the country.

brother, this is not the matter of party. Right now, Nigeria is at the brink of breakup due to very high level of insecurity, economic breakdown and sentiment and that's the first problem to solve right now. So, we need what will make this three things fixed atmost to an extent.

Enya, are you in this country at all? Nigerians vote sentimentally. Even if you bring superhero to contest with this same Buhari who has failed, you'd still see him emerge as the winner. So, go for what works and gradually make the changes you want. After all, Rome was not built in a day.

The mode in the country as at today will not favour another northerner to succeed Buhari as PDP think Northern leaders know that they need to relinquish power in 2023 to save the soul of this country but they might choose whosoever they want.

Fielding another fulani is a poor decision, no sane person will vote another fulani man as President.

South is the best bet. I think Osibanjo ,or Umahi is a good bet for APC

Osinbajo can't win PDP in any way. Though he's a wise man, he lacks the vibes to lead this country because he's a yes sir type.

The problem of Nigeria is beyond party affiliation.
Even if we form a new party, the Ruling class would still infiltrate it.

That being said, APC will retain that power, not buy free and fair election but buy what happened in 2019.
