Manchester United man Jesse Lingard who is on loan at West Ham has revealed England manager Gareth Southgate advised him to stay in England during his search for a club.

Lord Lingard as commonly known by many fans was in search of a club after a disappointing 2020-21 season where he didn't play a single Premier League game for Manchester United.

Lingard who has been in fine form since joining West Ham on loan from Manchester United was in search of playing time and a move away was just what was on his mind. However, England manager Gareth Southgate stepped in and advised the 28-year-old to remain in the Premier League.
