Soldiers Neutralise 11 Gunmen In Aba by NwaNimo1(m): 8:06pm On Mar 24, 2021
Conflicting reports from Aba, the commercial city of Abia State, South-East Nigeria, say soldiers at the Osisioma axis of the Enugu-Port Harcourt junction in Aba at the early hours of Wednesday allegedly killed 11 gunmen who reportedly confronted them.

However, Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Janet Agbede, could not confirm the story.

But the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 14 Brigade, Ohafia, Captain Iliya Dauda denied the report but added that some hoodlums confronted some soldiers at the Osisioma junction and were repelled by the officers on duty.

This is coming 48 hours after three policemen were ambushed and murdered by hoodlums in Abiriba, in Ohafia Local Government Area of the State.

Scanty reports coming from Aba said the gunmen, numbering about 30, engaged the soldiers at their checkpoint at the Osisioma Junction.

It was gathered that before the gunmen came to the area; the soldiers had been tipped off over the alleged attack and were reportedly waiting for it.

Report said that no sooner the alleged gunmen arrived than the soldiers engaged them in a shoot out, resulting in the death of 11.

Other members of the gang reportedly fled with bullet wounds.

However, initial report put the casualty figure at 16, but another report put it as 11.

Brilliant strategy from the Nigerian Army.

For as long as the terrorists brand themselves as "unknown gunmen", every one of them wasted should continue to be referred to as "unknown victims" until they're wiped out completely.

We don't want to hear 'ween' from any ipob terrorist or social activists cool.

I can assure you will not hear "pim" from IPOB. They have since evolved and will never play the victim card again. They are fully aware no one is listening. The world doesn't give a rats ass about anyone down hear.

IPOB is on DIY mode.

16 dead bodies and not a single gun found on them proves that there are not members of unknown gunmen.

This so called ESN should be focused on dealing with bandits and not attacking armed officers. They're wasting the lives of their people while their leaders seat comfortably in exile
