On Friday, the Borno State House of Assembly passed a vote of confidence in the state's governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, effectively putting to rest a malicious online publication that falsely alleged a schism between the assembly and the governor.

The resolution was announced by Speaker of the Assembly, AbdulKarim Lawan, at a special meeting held at the assembly complex in Maiduguri on Friday, during which members of the assembly took turns praising Governor Zulum's excellent success with a series of government projects in their constituencies.
