Two Policemen feard Dead as Gunmen attack Charles Soludo during a Meeting in Anambra
on March 31, 2021


The former Central Bank of Nigeria's Governor, Charles Soludo who is looking forward to be the next Governor of Anambra state was attacked on Wednesday evening by unknown Gunmen during a meeting with the kingsmen in one of the Town Halls in Anambra state.

The attack was said to have happened during a meeting which included the chiefs and kingsmen of the state. Two Policemen attached to the former CBN Governor are said to be the unfortunate victims of the attack.

Charles Soludo who is the former Central Bank of Nigeria's Governor and also a professor of Economics was named the Central Bank Governor, on the 29th of May, 2004.
According to his record during his tenure as the CBN Governor, he performed excellently in most ramifications.

Born on the 28th of July, 1960, the Anambra state born has recently indicated interest in the Governorship race under the platform of APGA.


Charles soludo was said to have indicated interest in the governorship position, will be running against the incubent Governor of Anambra state, Gov. Willie Obiano.

The Gunmen who wasted no time in executing their dastardly act was said to have fled the scene immidiatly after the incident.
Efforts to reach the former CBN Governor on phone proved abortive while writing this report.

The former CBN Governor is in a stable condition, and the dead are being taken to the morgue while the Police commence investigation into the incident.
