Taraba State is located in the central part of Nigeria. The indigenes are not Hausa, they form part of the numerous minority ethnic groups in Nigeria & are majority Christians just like all their governor's past & present.
The issue of Boko Haram is non-existent in Taraba State, likewise bandits. Even herdsmen that used to attack have virtually been restrained in Taraba State because the various tribes are hostile to terrorist herdsmen & do not hesitate to destroy them whenever they exceed their bound.

My brother, local rice in Taraba is far cheaper than the foreign one. The problem is adopting the latest technology tools and improve the transportation system. I was there for over a year, the state is quite blessed with an abundance of farming resources. Both Benue and Taraba can jointly supply the whole country's needed yam and rice but insecurity and selfishness on the part of the government have thrown the country into a food crisis.

The state is blessed with both human & natural resources, some of which are still untapped. It also a very unique state in terms of agricultural potential in the sense that all crops in Nigeria can be comfortably cultivated there.
