I'm in ss3 waiting for the day I'll take my jamb examination and I would like to apply for vet Medicine in UNN..
Pls I won't to know if it's profitable and I don't want to do a course I'll later regret in the future

Why not medicine instead of vet.

vet medicine is very lucrative if you can be in Animal appreciated environment

it is very lucrative. Vet doctors dont just work in farms. They also work in Pharmaceutical companies and Teaching hospitals.

Do you know that the CEO of AstraZaneca, Pascal Soriot, is a Vet doctor?

They also work in government institutions, banks(just like graduates from other fields), research institutes and private organizations.

You can also decide to set up your own farm/clinic after graduation

Do you watch DR po or any other vet.doc on National geography? You did find out how great it is to be a vet.doc.


As medicine is to humans
Veterinary medicine is to animals.
Both lucrative and both are about saving life.

It isn't, I'd advice you opt for medicine or other allied health courses.
Vet is only profitable in nigeria when u know ur onions and have ur connection.

Why do you want to study it because of what you will gain? that's the first step of failing... Why not study it because you are passionate about it so that every other things will fall in place for you including gains.


Be that as it may, Vet Med is still a lucrative course even though many Nigerians have not had that passion for animal treatment.

I have friends and relatives (also Super Lions), that studied Vet Medicine that are doing fine now. Some have their clinic, others poultry or livestock farms and they are cashing out steadily.



Just be passionate about the course.
