Nigerians who fail to enroll for the National Identification Number (NIN) could risk fines or imprisonment, or both of them, the minister of communication and digital economy Isa Pantami has revealed.

This was disclosed when he was addressing the press at the weekly presidential media briefing in Abuja.

The Minister disclosed that 51 million Nigerians have thus far been enrolled for NIN as of 31 March 2021.
