Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 7:52pm On Apr 03
I was reading a Christian book by Dr. D.K Olukoya (M.F.M General overseer) and in that book he said that God didn't create devil, He created lucifer. It was lucifer that turned himself into the devil. According to him, God never had any plans for a devil, satan, liar, deceiver and killer. So my question is that, if God never had any plan to create the devil, why did the devil appear?
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Dtruthspeaker: 8:06pm On Apr 03
God created all things and they were All Good.
But Satan was the First to Step out of Line, And God Has A Great Attention for the First, So Satan became The-Evil since he liked evil, Remember it is The Law that what you Sow you must Take Up!
Therefore since Satan sowed evil, and was the first to do it, therefore he was Cursed to Be the Evil he Sowed!
And he became The-Evil aka D'Evil aka Devil!

He is right my dear, God didn't create devil, he created the MORNING STAR with all forms of musical instruments to enable him Praise God but he committed a treasonable offence and was cast out of HIS Presence.
Note: He remained Devil because he loved being Devil, he could have bow for God and maybe saved back but he never, so he remained Devil.
Devil means (1) He who betrayed God
(2) He who will never bow for God until his final destruction
(3) He who destroy God's work and make God sad

Peaceyw:See, Jesus Christ warned His followers against the Leaven of the Pharisees and for good reason, because as He, Jesus Christ declared, "a little leaven leavens the whole lot". A little lie in one's beliefs eventually renders his entire foundation a lie.
Your MoG is not only wrong there but his claim to be of God is questionable at that. Since your MoG declares by his claim there that God is not the creator of all things, he implies that God is not Almighty that He claims He is - God can only be Almighty if All powers, in fact, belong to Him, God. Now, if the power of the "devil" does not belong to God as your MoG asserts in his book - God can only claim power over that which He created - then God has no direct control over the powers of the "devil".
Rather than ask us in here what your MoG believes, since it does not align with scriptural ideas, why not direct your questions to him instead. Does the book not list his email or contact that you can send your questions to instead.

Queenttoast01:Are you able to provide bible reference to any of what you have above?
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Ihedinobi3: 8:55pm On Apr 03
It's a good question. The simple answer is free will.
God did create a perfect angel, a cherub who was to rule over all the other angels and the whole Earth as His regent.
It was because Satan also possessed free will that He could desire something that God did not give him: God's Own eternal status and throne.
Indulging that arrogant desire is what made him evil.
17 “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty;
You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor;
I cast you to the ground,
I laid you before kings,
That they might gaze at you.
Ezekiel 28:17 (NKJV)

God is so powerful that he needed an opposition...He wouldn't be a saviour without someone to save... He wouldn't be a healer without sickness
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Dtruthspeaker: 8:57pm On Apr 03
Now you would say "Bible reference" after that you would say "Did The The Lord Jesus say anything about it"?
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 9:18pm On Apr 03
Dtruthspeaker:so Satan decided to become a corruption. Since all things were good, Satan decided to become the bad and was cursed to become the bad.
I think I understand it a little
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 9:19pm On Apr 03
zoeA:How did you come up with this conclusion? Is there any further explanation to this?
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 9:24pm On Apr 03
Kobojunkiee:What he said in the book was that Lucifer decided to become Satan, God didn't create him, God had no plans for a devil to exist, can you show me scriptural ideas that says otherwise?
The book is an old one. It is a volume of 'sound the battle cry' spiritual warfare bulletin.

Ihedinobi3:it seems most of the problem of this world is as a result of free will. I once read on a topic from this thread that since God knew that the tree in the garden of eden will leas to sin, He could have excluded it and someone replied that if God had excluded that tree from the garden, the there will be no freewill
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 9:31pm On Apr 03
Queenttoast01:The bible said in Revelations that eternal suffering awaits the devil and he actually loves being the devil. SMH. I once asked my pastor why the devil can't just repent, my pastor replied that the devil is in no position to repent. Although I didn't understand, I accepted it like that.
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Ihedinobi3: 9:33pm On Apr 03
It is true that creature free will is why sin and all its consequent evil exist. But it would be wrong to imagine that life would be better without free will. You can appreciate the beauty and sweetness of life only because you have free will. That is why God gave us that precious gift.
Re: Who Created The Devil? by FatherOfJesus: 9:40pm On Apr 03
Queenttoast01:DID God know from the onset that he would turn out to be the devil?
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 9:57pm On Apr 03
Ihedinobi3:But people aren't appreciating God's benevolence by giving us freewill. Think about atheist for a minute, racists, oppressors. Everything is just messed up
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Judybash93(m): 10:16pm On Apr 03
He/she is all knowing.. So, i think the answer would be yes from me
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Kobojunkiee: 11:12pm On Apr 03
Peaceyw:But Lucifer is not a real character in the Bible.
In Isaiah, it was the King of Babylon whom God sang a dirge to, through His prophet, that many mistake for lucifer. In Ezekiel, it was the King of Tyre. In Revelation, we are told by John the Apostle that Jesus Christ is instead the Brighter morning star in His vision/dream. So since your man of God believes that which is not even in the Bible, I am afraid he is the one who can best fill you in on his illusion of a lucider character.
As for lucider becoming Satan, that has no bearing in Scripture. We know from scripture that Satan answers to God and is under God, so I am not sure where your MoG gets his narrative from.
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Kobojunkiee: 11:14pm On Apr 03
zoeA:Salvation which Jesus Christ saves you from is not from Satan but instead from the condemnation of sin(Death), not to be confused with sin itself, which God Himself condemned man, beginning with Adam, to.
You folks need to actually spend time reading that book you have there for Pete's sake.
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Kobojunkiee: 11:16pm On Apr 03
Peaceyw:Satan deciding to do what? This idea is not scriptural either. There is no mention of Satan having decision making functions - not in scripture.
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 11:26pm On Apr 03
Kobojunkiee:The whole stuff is confusing. I don't even know anymore. If Lucifer isn't mentioned in the bible, why do pastor talk about him in their preachings?
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 11:29pm On Apr 03
Kobojunkiee:something not mentioned is not proof that it does not exist. If he didn't have decision making functions, why did he rebel then? why did he decide to lead one third of the angels astray? This shows that he had the capacity to think for himself
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Kobojunkiee: 11:33pm On Apr 03
Peaceyw:Where in the Bible are you told that Satan rebelled?
Where do you find that He lead third of the Angels against God? And please stay away from the book of dreams called Revelation cause just as you would never apply a literal translation to your own dreams, you should never attempt the same with what you read from the book of Revelation.
You have to understand that most of these ideas/doctrines do not have their origin in scripture but in the minds of men.
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Kobojunkiee: 11:39pm On Apr 03
Peaceyw:Because they are ignorant of the Truth of God?
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 11:40pm On Apr 03
Kobojunkiee:I know that the book of revelations was a vision shown to John when he was in Patmos(I think) but telling me to stay away from it sounds somehow to me. Pastors use it to preach all the time, we were told to study our bible.
Can you tell me where the story of Satan rebellion and leading a third if the angels astray came from?
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Kobojunkiee: 11:46pm On Apr 03
Peaceyw:Teling you to stay away from applying a literal translation to what you know very well to be a record of a dream/vision had by a man called John sounds somehow? Do you also apply literal translations to other visions you find written of in the Bible or anywhere else in life?
Pastors apply a literal translation to it does not mean they are not themselves ignorant. Jesus Christ warned us vehemently against false teachers and false prophets including the blind ones.
As for the story of Satan leading a third of Angel's, many you should find and read the book called "Demonologie" written by King James when he was still a prince.
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Peaceyw(m): 11:57pm On Apr 03
Kobojunkiee:I will find time to check out that book ( demonologie)
it seems most things in the bible are deeper than we think, many mistakes in the interpretations we have today is because of the literal translations. Thank you for you advise.
Re: Who Created The Devil? by zoeA: 12:01am On Apr 04
Peaceyw:There's no other explanation for how it's possible that there is a God and there is so much suffering on earth. Check am..
So-called Christianity colonised God
Re: Who Created The Devil? by Kobojunkiee: 12:01am On Apr 04
Peaceyw:Deeper than what? Nothing of what you have put forth so far is from the Bible to begin with.
And the problem isn't the application of literal translations alone but instead the ignoring of common sense language comprehension rules. For example, with the book of Revelation, you are told from chapter one that the book is a record of a dream/vision.... a warning of sorts right there that you cannot apply a literal translation to what you are about to read.
In reading the dirge in both Isaiah and Ezekiel, if you refuse to pay attention to the context of the verses, you look the message and meaning of what is in fact written of.
Here's the truth about the Bible. Like any other book out there, it is all written in human language and by humans, to be read and understood by other humans, so all you need is basic language comprehension skills to comprehend what is written.
If you find yourself injecting extra meaning into any piece or passage, something you would never do if you were reading other books, then you are violating the meaning of what is written.

God created the devil. He fully knows what he'll be before creating him.
