If you do not Japhet Omojuwa, well, I am not sure what to tell you. But, first, he has one million followers on Twitter. That should tell you how popular and influential he is, at least on social media. He is a well respected social media strategist that many have credited with the fall of the former President Jonathan’s government in 2015 due to the role he played leveraging social media.

But right now, he is in the eye of the storm for all the wrong reasons. The story starts with an alleged lucrative contract from a suspected Colombian money launderer.

According to reports, Omojuwa got a deal to coordinate a campaign of himself and other Nigerian social media influencers. Unfortunately, some people, who included the US Embassy in Nigeria and the microblogging platform, Twitter did not take this interference lightly.
