I think they're out of options. They're just trying to recoup funds for the excessive loans they've accumulated which they still won't pay after the heavy tax. Diversification would help but the average Nigerian politician is greedy. When we start voting in someone who wants to serve the people to someone who wants power and enrichment, that's when our the country will try to rise.
