It will fail to function again because it's Nigerians running it. They will give jobs to ppl in their own tribe that are incompetent. Boss will start trying to collect their female workers phone number or to sleep with them. Contract it to Chinese people and it will start functioning.

Just the same way rail was contracted to Chinese and now it's working....

Mr Sagay. The citizens of progressive nations donot 'pray' for deliverables. They roll up their sleeves and demand accountability in planning and pursuit. They supervise the mission more or less by themselves by educating and enlightening themselves having repented from sentiment.

With all the angst against the project no detail has emerged to date as to exactly what is to be done so that the people through civil society, technical bodies, university egg heads, and experts can vouch that first, what is proposed is the solution and secondly, how much it will cost represents real value for money.

Once more Nigeria"s affairs are being run like Sheikh Al Maktoum runs Dubai. "I want the tallest, biggest, fastest...and most expensive and he gets it. No questions asked. Unfortunately we are a democracy, not a kingdom even if we ignorantly feel we have more than enough resources to waste.

So our citizens just cannot afford to sit back in poverty and hinge our bets on a Minister of State who owes us practically nothing, whose time in office is coming to an end and who once escaped the anti sleaze authorities, and can as well do so again.

Where are we going to see the 1.5billion dollars if the stack of pipes doesn't work....prayer??

Hmmm....making some sense here. Perhaps it is being prepared as a collateral for all these ambiguous Chinese loans collected wily nily.... Well I am permitted to speculate. Nothing of government is always black and white.

"Mele Kyari, NNPC Group Managing Director, disclosed this said building a new refinery now would cost the country about $10 billion which is far beyond the $1.5 billion earmarked for the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt refinery".

Pls am asking, did dangote spend $10 billion to build his refinery in Lagos?

So Itse Sagay will leave the head and flog the hand. Buhari is the petroleum minister for six years, why dont he say nigerians will come after him rather than Timipre Sylva? Is he afraid of Buhari? Is this how justice is done?
