The Ramadan period she says, is very significant in the lives of Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria and all around the globe as they journey into the Holy month of Ramadan.

The Director-General, Global Centre for Human Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development, GLOCHEED, Mrs. Rose Gyar, has sent greetings welcoming all the Muslim faithful into the Ramadan period, stating that the fasting period is in fulfillment of Almighty Allah's injunction to all believers, that they may be counted worthy of Allah's blessings and attain favour for the forgiveness of sins.

The Director-General, Rose Gyar, further encouraged women in the Muslim faith to seize the privilege of the season to pray that women would realise their role in nation-building through passionate involvement in active political participation in the forthcoming 2023 general elections. She also urged them to pray for the unity of Nigeria and security of lives and safety of property.


She conveyed this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, pointing out that the Ramadan period offers yet another opportunity to re-examine our consciences and relationship with our creator, the Almighty God through our dealings with fellow human beings.

According to the statement, "may our supplications and remorse be acceptable to obtain grace for mercy.

"At this holy period of communion with God through man, we ask that our land be healed from all iniquities and man inhumanity to man.
God almighty, accept our prayers and bless us with a peaceful Ramadan", she prayed.

Earlier, Mrs. Rose has prayed Women to endeavour to increase acts of kindness and love for the less privileged around them disclosing that he who lends to the poor lends to God.
" As it was the practice and lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad(SAW)".

Reacting to insecurity in the country, she urged women, especially mothers to be security conscious and inculcate a sound moral upbringing in children, disclosing that it would help in curbing insecurity in the country.
