Edge crack: People can see this crack within two inches of the windscreen lining to other parts of the screen. If the owner does not take care, it will change from minor damage to a serious one, ranging from ten to twelve inches in length.
Floater cracks: this crack is similar to the previous type, but the damage starts from a minimum of two inches from the windscreen lining.
Half-moon crack: A small piece of glass in the shape of a half-moon falls from the glass surface. It is pretty similar to a bull’s eye, differing in shape.
Stress crack: People can only feel this form of crack by moving their hand over. This crack is not the result of the impact but due to a sudden temperature change.

The size, depth and location are three main factors that will help in deciding if people can choose repair or replacement. The owner needs to take the vehicle immediately to the nearest mechanic to know if the damage can be repaired. One should understand that larger cracks or chips are hard to repair. Simultaneously, cracks closer to the edge are harder to fix, which applies to depth as well. An experienced professional would be best to decide on repair or replacement.
