This politicians don't have shame again.its so glaring that fashola is a blunt lier. The question fashola should answer is,was the road constructed by the contractor or Rccg.if the contractor didn't construct the road ,let the ministry of work petition the contractor and copy efcc/icpc

You're a disappointment sir.
you're the dissapointment. 1. This is a state road not a Federal road. So really the Minister has no say or interest on the road. it is the ministry of finance that paid for the project that should be involved.
2 it is a constituency project that means that it was awarded by a legislator.
3. It was awarded in 2011 and Part payment paid in 2011. now you're blaming a government ir 2021.

I watched the proceedings and the pastor who wrote the petition apologized to the minister..
Thank you. Everyone knows that pastors are CHIEF LIARS in Nigeria. In fact as once observed you can't call yourself a pastor if you can't lie and confuse the gullible with double-speak.
This one confessed and publicly apologised for the deliberate, wicked, anti-Christlike calumny. Rccg who trained him as a CHIEF LIAR and to LIE against Alhaji Babatunde Fashola, even as he partakes in the special privileges of Ramadan, should admit the shame of violating the gold standard of "thou shall not lie against an innocent person".
Btw, expect abuse, insult and uncouth language from fanatics, as usual, in response to the factual truth stated here.

Yeah, we understand.

The money was paid during the days of the locusts.

Better luck next time, RCCG.

Fashola is one of the problem Buhari carried along with him. The federal roads are not better than previous administration.

Fact, since he was no longer in charge as minister of power, he became fed up, no longer outspoken, no more talking about federal roads. The cash-cow (power ministry) is no longer in his control guess that is why he stopped working on roads and looting begins. Of course he knows he is not returning in 2023.

But that is the truth an Igbo man was the commissioner then he should come out n defend the allegation. I remember when foolish Igbos on NL were all over the internet insulting Fashola immediately the news broke.

Does it not surprise you that in the midst of this debacle upon Fashola's revelation the Igbo minister is not being dragged to come tell is own side of the story.

The truth is Igbos will always help ensure Yoruba remain superior to them by shielding criminal amongst themselves while antagonizing ministers from Yoruba land but that will in turn ensure that Yoruba minister stay more accountable even if they'll loot their level of accountability is proportionate to project execution compare to those of the Igbos so in the long run like it as been shinning tru Yoruba will stay superior to d Igbos.

Sir, the apology was clearly stated to be for any embarrassment the petition must have caused the minister and the government (as that was not the intention). The petitioner stood by the petition.

Easterners know how to poke nose and criticise other tribes while hyping their own who are usually monumental failures. You have been rejoicing over the news and now that there is clarification, you still want to hypocritically as usual of you blame him. Fashola is no longer the minister of power, has power improved? Ngige was also hyped by the hateful Yeeb*s as governor how is employment issue improving as Minister? The Westerners are not responsible for your frustration.

Can we all see the way these rogues have been govern Nigeria, yet there are no meaningful projects/results to show for it.

If the money was paid to the contractor between 2016 to 2018 or 2010 to 2011 doesn't matter at this moment.

We can all see how Redeem Church just exposed the ongoing corruptions in the system.

The project was approved for over 600m between 2010/2011

Mobilization fee of 151m have been paid already in 2011. Yet the road was not attended to and it remain in dilapidated situation until 2018 when Redeem Church looked into the matter and execute the same project at 181m.

Meanwhile what cost 181m by Redeem Church in 2018 has been approved for over 600m in 2010/2011.

Looking at the inflation rate between 2011 to 2018, it is safe to say 151m should be enough to complete that project in 2011 but nothing was done about the road despite the fact that; huge amount to the tune of 151m was released.

To all rational thinkers, let look at the amount the project was approved at in 2011, 600m.

It cost total amount of 181m to be executed in 2018.

It's so crazy.

My friend the bolded matters joor. Because is pdp you are now telling us it doesn't matter. It matters because it tell us where the probability to find thieves is higher in the Nigerian political space. The fact some people still deceive themselves. pdp is an angelic party makes it even more relevant..

Now we know the reason such request by private individuals and organisations to undertake such repairs and maintenance are usually refused: it exposes the exorbitant costs charge by the agencies involved.

Redeem and the other churches on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway have at various times wanted to construct bridges across the expressway and pedestrian bridges.

Just imagine both RCCG and Government. You embarked on a project as a church on CSR and expect to be refunded? That's like going to collect all the alms you have given to beggars back, to what use exactly?
As for the government, over-inflating budgets for personal gain continues to be a rotating curse. If it did not cause us this much discomfort all these years, would it not be fit to call it a curse?..

God bless you. The contract amount as awarded by government, what a church spent in constricting the road and why nothing was done after payment of mobilization fee should have been the major focus of Nigerian youths but unfortunately they will leave all that and focus on who's regime was the contract awarded and the case will later die a natural death.

Hello, is not everybody that are into this your APC or PDP things, do we have meaningful differences between both? If such reckless act was perpetuated under PDP, why was it not exposed by APC lead government since 6years ago they've been at the helm of affairs, do we know number of such corrupt practices that are yet to be revealed and those ongoing. If not for the alarm raised by Redeem Church this could have died a natural death without it been exposed and treated by the said APC.

So why was it not done then? They should still return the money if work wasn't done

Imagine FG awards the contracts for 600 million plus for the rehabilitation of a 15km road. Church rehabilitates same road for 181 million. See the waste from the difference. The contractor has taken 151 million "That is a constituency project of someone in national assembly either a senator or a Fed rep member". How do you think Nigeria will get better when cash is released and projects are left undone but when it comes to workers salary/welfare they will say no funds

I suspect they want to secretly collect the balance and say they completed the road. What a shame.

First this your system of it not everything that is apc and PDP when it concerns pdp is stale OK get that first we already know the tactics. When is apc you come all guns blazing.. Oga we know una. Back to the difference between the 2. The head determines the movement and direction of political parties. It is a FACT in the Nigerian political space that the main actors in the APC have maintained a dignified stand from opposition to their becoming the ruling party. Buhari, Tinubu. Osibanjo even when the looting of pdp was dangled to them they exhibited courage and steadfastness not to join the share the money. It show atleast to an extent the have control over their quest for money unlike the looted in the PDP. So again their is a big difference in their leadership.. The fact apc can allow a man with integrity to head is another difference.. When former governor of kaduna state who is know for his integrity, pdp people don't want to hear anything about him, infact they don't want him to contest only is his right that why he participates in primaries how man votes does he get? APC is way different from the party of armed robbers..

This is A VERY STUPID RESPONSE! And a weak one
1) RCCG merely told us that the road they constructed, the government already paid some people for it and that the government should do the needful by refunding the money back to the government.

2)The construction company came and said they truly received the money from the government and an official from senate agreed to it that “Minsiter Fashola” knew about the road and that they were constantly updating Fashola on the state of the Road and even when the contractor fell ill, Minister Fashola promised another contractor.

What’s happening in “2” is the question RCCG is asking in “1” since RCCG already constructed the road.

The response we should be getting from FASHOLA now is if TRULY the government paid for a ROAD that has been constructed by RCCG or not and these should stop handling everything like a political/tenure game! We understand “FEDERAL GOVERNMENT” and not “JONATHAN GOVERNMENT” “BUHARI GOVERNMENT”

In fact so many things are wrong with the said contract

1. Almost ten years ago a road wá meant to be constructed for 600m, RCCG did same for 181m......these people always inflate government projects
2. Contactor has collected 151m but till date the contractor has done nothing and nobody seem to care.......Fashola should be telling us when they are arresting the thief not if it were their govt or not
3. They've turned the issue to blame game by trying to paint one govt bad....... Government should be a continuous process not one off
4. If you've promised us change or next level then show us the change/next level not the devil
