People have kept criticizing how the governor of Ebonyi state had ignored human capital development for infrastructural development. Their reason being that the infrastructure isn't enough to emancipate the state from poverty The IGR of state proves otherwise. Ebonyi has the most improved IGR in Nigeria with a YOY increase of over 80% what was generated the previous year. Also comparing the state to it's "1996 age mates", Ebonyi has a higher IGR than all the states created the same time with it (except Zamfara). That is to say Ebonyi fared better than oil rich Bayelsa, Nasarawa which enjoys proximity to Abuja and Ekiti Ebonyi is growing. |
