Well, I am commenting based on the facts made known in the newspaper report. And the newspapaer report did not indicate in any way that the locals had reported any issues to the police, so it is safe to assume, in the abscence of contrandicting evidence, that they did not call the police on the herdsmen.

Instead they took the law into their hands. Which is, very wrong.

Mind you, whatever you think of me, my view on the herdsmen farmer crisis is simple. Both sides should always rely on the law to sort their greivances. That we have a crisis happening is because both sides prefer to use their fists rather than the law.

And not too long ago, a farmer reproted herdsmen to the Police elsewhere in this country, and the Force acted.

The problem with Nigeria is a lack of due process...which is why abuses like the Aluu 4 happen.
