Trust me Nigerian government is not worried about the Assylum but the implications to other tribes.
with this Assylum it means the world is aware of the joke of Nigerian government granting amnesty to hardened fulani herdsmen killers, Boko Haram and paying billions to Bandits.
while raining bullets and airsrike to armless secession groups.
wait oo you think the world is not watching?

well this Assylum just rubbished them in front of the whole world.
while we igbos appreciate it, no sane Igbo person will abandon his father's compound to go and live permanently in a strange land no matter what.
that's why you see igbos coming back from far away just for Christmas, new year, village festivals and the rest.
Igbo land has been there before Nigeria was formed and will also be there after Nigeria.
we're just happy that the UK just exposed the hypocrisy of the Nigerian government.

Watch out for more seccession groups from other tribes especially Oduduwa
this will empower them and make them more daring because UK just tactically told Nigeria that self determination is not terrorism.
this is the main reason Nigerian government is worried.

Actually, its an insidious way of crippling the agitation. If those whovare supposed to fight for your rights leave, who will fight for you? Nelson Mandela was ready to die for his country. If he had fled to Nigeria. I believe south Africa will still be under apartheid rule
