Some days ago I came on Nairaland to express my concern on the reception of Nigerians to my debut single, who claimed my song sounded too foreign to make it in Nigeria. This was despite the fact that the song had received rave reviews from American and UK listeners on Soundcloud

I had sent the song to several Lagos Radio OAPs but only KayCee of City Fm and NTR of Top Radio gave my song airtime for free. The others were requesting ridiculous amounts of money.

So I followed the recommendations of Nairalanders KallmemrB0 and ForG, submitting my song to some American radios and playlists.

And the reception have so far been good. Two American radio stations, in Kinj and U3radio, featured the song on their platforms.

However, the biggest feature till date came yesterday on American talk radio, Radio Misfit, who featured the song as 'Music Of the Day' on One of their shows.

I will try to capitalise on this interest and will soon release my second single, a hippop/rock blend to see how the American rap community reacts to this.

Due to the fact that my character is branded behind a mask, it has been difficult to promote on social media.

Guys Please what are your opinion on the song, and do you think I should focus on the American community?
