My Opinion About Ada Jesus by immortalcrown(m): 12:40am On Apr 22, 2021
I castigated Ada Jesus for her public display of bad attitudes. But I never wished her dead. My wish is for her to fully recover from the illness and live a new life that will demonstrate true repentance. I never wished her dead, because it is not my righteousness that is keeping me alive and healthy. Anybody can die at anytime, whether you are good or bad. But being notorious before death is not honourable. It is good for us to live right, so that if misfortune or death befalls any of us, we, or at least the right-thinking fellows among us, will understand that the person is just unfortunate. If it is true that she is dead, may her soul rest in peace.

Ada did not only damage people's reputations, she even threatened to kill one Mr. Ken. She laid many accusations against some people, and none of those accusations has been proven true. Some people advised her to apologize for those accusations, but she refused to do so. It is her family members that sincerely apologized recently. Some people say she made peace before this rumor of her death. If she actually did so, it was privately, not publicly. Maybe she confessed to her family members that later apologized on her behalf. She herself did not publicly apologize. What she did in the video that some people call apology was just a display of arrogance and craftiness, in my own understanding. She was precise in her accusations. She specifically mentioned the people's names and what she alleged they did. But in her apology, she just said that the people she offended should forgive her. She did not specify that any of her accusations was false. That kind of apology has many interpretations. It could mean that those people are totally innocent. It could be that some of her accusations are true and some are false. It could also mean that all her accusations are true but she regrets exposing those people's secrets.

The same way she was precise in her accusations, she should have been precise in her apology so that the public will clearly understand if the people she accused are innocent or guilty. So many people were already suspecting Odumeje for fake miracles before Ada accused him. Imagine how convincing those people found the accusation against him. Had it been Ada's apology clarified whether she actually partnered with him for fake miracles or not, the apology would have gone a long way to rightly guide some people's impression about Odumeje. As it is now, nobody can say that Ada later reaffirmed her position against Odumeje or that she later renounced the accusation. This is why I find her apology deceitful. If I decide to apologize after claiming that Mr. A is a thief and that Mr. B is murderer, I should say "Mr. A is not a thief and Mr. B is not a murderer". It is wrong for me to just say "Those I offended should forgive me", because some people might think the statement vindicates only Mr. A and that Mr. B is actually a murderer. Some people are good at being so articulate in their accusations in order to convince their audience. But when it becomes inevitable for the accusers to apologize, they will drop their fascinating communication skills because of self ego.

But don't misunderstand me. I DO NOT mean she should not be forgiven. She should be forgiven whether she apologized or not, at least because of her condition.

The life of Ada Jesus, the comedienne, should be a case study. Her fans that supported her display of repulsive attitudes, with a claim that life is too short for anybody to take anything so serious and that she was doing all those things just for fun, should reason properly now. If life is too short, it is a more reason to live right. Or, does living wrong prolong life?

As for Odumeje, what he did to Ada's family in his Church is bad. Whether he has a hand in Ada's condition or not, the fact is that Ada's case has implicated him. The case has attracted stigma and mockery upon him and his followers.

Ada actually got it wrong in so many ways. This is not a matter of "Thou shalt not judge". There is a limit to which we should not judge. If we should not judge at all, then nothing should be considered bad or good in any circumstance. The judgement, in this case is not for the deceased. The judgement is for those of us that use sentiments and emotions to support what is clearly bad. Let us think twice. My intention is neither to condemn the dead nor to claim that I am Mr. Righteous. My aim is for us to learn to live right.
