We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to assist in our financial department. The responsibilities of an Accountant include keeping financial records up-to-date, checking for inaccuracies in invoices, and handling queries on general account

Responsibilities
 Maintain financial responsibility in company’s assets in terms of accounts, valuations and loss protection.
 Ensure timely preparation of pending Budget and tax reports.
 Coordinate timely preparation of the company’s financial statement ensuring accuracy and compliance with stationary and regulatory requirements.
 Periodically review the company’s financial activities/ performance reports and take appropriate actions.
 Provide relevant advice and recommendations to management on specific financial issue
 Develop and maintain strategic relationships with relevant financial Institutions and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

 First degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance
 Professional certificate is an added advantage
 Minimum of 2 years cognate experience in a similar role
 Experience as an account officer or its equivalent in an oil & gas company is an added advantage
 Excellent knowledge of financial risks and mitigating controls and Strong knowledge of heading finance and accounting, standards practices and processes
 Strong understanding of international and local tax & regulatory framework
