The problem isn't just the DSS or the rubber stamp NASS, it's the system that allows the presidency to be extremely powerful such that other institutions are subdued under it.

If the DSS has been truly independent, they'll surely have blocked Pantami's nomination ab initio.

The only thing that can change that is a true southern unity.

But the so-called " handshake across the Niger" has been sacrificed under the altar of 2023.

So much greed and short sightedness.

The North is just laughing at us down south.

Upon all our education, we are not intelligent enough to know that a politically unified south is the only solution.

"What THEY And TERRORISTS Have Against PANTAMI

By Professor MICHAEL OGUEKE

Last year, after extensive research into Boko Haram’s activities & online presence by experts including Bulama Burkati, it was discovered how Boko Haram uses highly encrypted messaging platforms such as WhatsApp & Telegram to communicate and coordinate.
In addition, ISWAP uses such apps to communicate with ISIS. For instance, when ISWAP launches an attack, it uses Telegram to send pictures and videos to ISIS. ISIS would edit the material, put ISWAP logo, subtitle (where relevant), etc, and release it through its channels.
Similarly, Boko Haram uses Telegram and WhatsApp to send photos and clips of its attack and execution to its contacts who then post/tweet them and give them to media outlets. They also use the platforms to communicate with fighters and coordinate activities including attacks.
It was therefore agreed that since most messaging apps require a mobile number to subscribe or register, if ownership of lines is restricted, it will seriously undermine Boko Haram’s ability to exploit technology, and hamper the effectiveness of the terrorists.
In the light of this discovery, the minister of communication Pantami - early last year, 2020 came up with the proposal to the FG for all bank accounts, passports, GSM numbers to be linked to NIN & for Telecom companies to be given a strict deadline to restrict registerable SIMs to three (or less) per person & to deactivate all unregistered ones & those who breach the directive should be heavily fined by the NCC.
The first to react to this proposed policy was Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Bokoharam. He felt so rattled & threatened by this proposed policy by the communication mimister - Pantami which has the obvious potential of hitting his group hard & smashing his activities.
It was no surprise then, when on 13th February, 2020, Shekau - the leader of Boko haram released a video asking his members to kill the communication minister, Isa Pantami.
These were the exact words of Shekau in the video & I quote:
“This video message is specifically released because of one man, who thinks he is knowledgeable. I want him to archive this message and continue referring to it till his death comes. From today onward, you will continue to live in sorrow, because I, Shekau, say so.
"This warning is for Isa Ali Panatami; don’t think simply because you preach in English or because you are called a doctor, it means you have knowledge of Islam. You know nothing. Today you have become a minister, and you are feeling you can achieve your selfish ends. You must know that speaking English has nothing to do with Islam.
"You said you are going to block phone lines and other means of communication, to frustrate the activities of Boko Haram, right? But you must understand that we don’t depend on such to take out our messages. Our messengers are like the angels of God. How dare you attempt to stop the works we are doing for the creator of the heavens and earth, simply because you have become a slave to the white world and the country. We pity you if you don’t repent.
"I swear to God, you are nothing. Initially, we have not begrudged with you, but now you have become a slave to the infidels; repent now and become a good Muslim. If you don’t comply from now on, death will come to you, Isa Ali Pantami. I call on my members in Africa, in Nigeria to rise and do the needful. Let them know that what we did to Sheik Jafar is just the tip of the iceberg. Anywhere you see Isa Ali Pantami, don’t spare him. Isa Ali Pantami you are nothing; even Jafar tried the same thing but we dealt with him; talk less of you that is nothing in Islamic practice. And from today on, you would not have rest of mind because you have dared God...”
As the communication minister - Pantami has called the bluff of the terrorists & has gone ahead this year, 2021 with the implementation of the proposed policies of restricting the number of SIMs per individual, linking them with other personal data to NIN & the FG's recent announcement of naming those who through investigations using this policy are involved in terrorism in Nigeria, the enemies of Nigeria & Shekau has now resorted to their proven tactics of whipping their hysterical mob of self righteous social media terrorists masquerading as our moral compasses & objective critics to goad Pantami into resigning. Exactly the same way they did our arguably best minister of finance for an offence that is no fault of hers & which was never brought to the public for 4 years she was Ogun state commissioner of finance, cleared by DSS to be a minister & for 3 years she was finance minister not until she refused to help the enemies of Nigeria led by then Ogun governor - Amosun & then Senate President - Saraki to loot the federal treasury & destabilize the APC government on the eve of 2019 elections.
The DSS cleared Pantami for this job. They knew of his rhetorics 20 years ago as a young firebrand scholar. They equally know of his brilliance, qualifications, experience, capabilities & abilities which earned him his present job as minister of communication & he has not dissapointed since he was appointed a minister.
Let Pantami be & do not join or help the terrorists, sponsored by the conscienceless enemies of our nation who raped us into coma & pillaged our resources for 16 uninterrupted years, to rob us of another wonderful brain in this our sustained march to development & progressivism under Mai Gaskiya.
Enough said already!!"

He is worse than a thief. He is a Terrorism apologist and a campaigner of religious violence. Common, where is your sense? If a person's educational and other attainments at young age are counted as part of his or her antecedents, why makes your past conduct exceptional? If you have been convicted as a adolescent, that makes you constitutionally unfit for public office even if you are now 60 years old, notwithstanding the remedial experiences you have garnered over the years. Don't be unreasonable. We may accept that he has repented, but he needs to show remorse by resigning and retracting those former statements and conducts too. I wonder why people are stupidly shameless and greedy in this useless country. In sane places like Europe or the U.S., Pantami would be history by now, voluntarily or otherwise. Yet we have salaried morons defending this aberration.

Like Pantami, former Minister of Finance, Kemi
For nearly two months, Mrs Adeosun ignored calls for her resignation. Without lifting his finger to address the issue, President Buhari embarked on his annual vacation more than three weeks after the lid was blown open on the minister.

some things don't change but at last it comes back to bite the president very hard

Of Isa Pantami, Jihad and a Culture of Blackmail by Eseoghene Al-Faruq Ohwojeheri

To say people are blackmailing Isa Ali Pantami because he is going to be President is to reduce the issue.

They are blackmailing him because he is a Muslim Cleric that is a Minister. Some people can't just stand this because for too long Muslims have been put on the defensive and we have allowed it. Muslims on the other hand can stand Osibanjo, a Pastor, even if he quotes from the Bible, no issue.

Now this is for SOME people. Does this mean there are no issues to clarify? No. There are issues to clarify and this has nothing to do with politics.

1. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Afghanistan Taliban. They don't carry out suicide bombings, they don't target innocent people, they are only fighting for a country they use to govern before they were kicked out. Matter of fact the Americans are presently in negotiation with them. And we pray the issues are resolved. So if Pantani praised the Afghanistan Taliban, there is nothing wrong there. The UN praised them for eradicating opium, I mean total eradication. The US use to praise them before they had issues, so why can't Pantami praise them?

2. His praise of Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda came years ago, before certain things became clearer. He never praised Bin Laden for bombing World Trade Centre. It was the general notion among Muslims (and many non Muslims) at the time that Bin Laden was framed hence he was seen as a hero. As Muslims began to get convinced (rightly or wrongly) that Bin Laden did carry out the attacks, everyone started criticizing him and taking his pictures off their profile and denouncing his ideology. I am not going to go into if Bin Laden actually did what he is accused of as I honestly don't know as of today. But regular Muslims, including Pantami denounce killing innocent people. I am Admin of a Muslim Facebook group with over 20k members and it was only one person ever that supported suicide bombings. Not only did everyone attack him, people hated me and fought me for not removing him from the group, but I argued that we can use argument to change him, my beloved brothers said Islam does not even allow you to be associated with such person. Today we don't know where he is and nobody cares.

3. The other extraneous quote they have dragged in saying Sheikh Uthaymin says Jihad is until Islam is the system all over is just normal. If you have a good system you will want to spread it. Why should Muslims be satisfied with other religion when we believe they are wrong? No, we will continue to propagate Islam. And in places where we are more and most powerful we will operate our system (as some have done to a small extent in some Northern States and as the Christians are doing in the Vetican), but will we force someone else to be Muslim? No, ISLAM forbids it. So what is the problem here? That we feel our faith is best? When has that become a crime? The Sheikh Uthaymin and "Saudi Salafi" that you are attacking and claiming they promote extremism are the same scholars that denounced Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. So why are you confused? Or maybe your target is Islam itself.

4. The worse thing they quoted him as saying is that "we all like it when the unbelievers are being killed...." But I had someone who understand Hausa listen to the lecture and he didn't say that. So we are still searching for where he said that. But even by the translation he went ahead to say "unbelievers cannot be killed for no reason", so what was he trying to say exactly? This point is very important. It is how people misunderstand the Quran. The few verses that talks about war gave the believers PERMISSION to fight in that instance of war because ordinarily they were instructed to be peaceful. If there was no instruction to fight it would mean sit there and be slaughtered. And that is suicide which is also forbidden in Islam.

First, had Islam been based on violence, there would be no need for verses that specifically gives permission to fight in the event of a war.

Secondly, in giving this specific permission the Qur'an says unbelievers. Does it mean fight any unbeliever you see on the road? No, there were unbelievers living with the Prophet while he was fighting other unbelievers that came to attack him in Medina. So when the Quran says unbelievers it already explained which unbelievers it was talking about when it says "fight THOSE WHO FIGHT YOU" so it didn't need to be repeating "unbelievers who fight you" no scripture and nobody speaks like that. Of course if "the unbelievers" invade a Muslim land and starts killing them for nothing, it will make us happy when the Muslim Army have a upper hand and kill these "unbelievers". Does that include killing Mr. Mathew in Nigeria who did not invade a Muslim land and slaughter Muslims and raped our women? Of course not. This is common sense.

If it is not enough that every Muslim you know person to person is peaceful and does not even have a weapon not to talk of being violent, then there is nothing we can do for you.

If it is not enough that the Quran expressly says "there is no compulsion in (the acceptance) of religion" (Qur'an 2:256) and you still want to force yourself to believe that Islam says to kill the non-Muslims because they didn't accept Islam then there is nothing we can do for you.

If it is not enough that your Bible says in clear terms that the Amalekites should be slaughter including "women, children and INFANTS" (1 Samuel 15:3) and YET Muslim don't see you in that light because we understand that at least it was not you that did it, then there is nothing we can do for you.

So no, let us not reduce it to the usual politics. Let us instead use this opportunity to educate our Christian neighbours about the concept of Jihad and ask them to stop blackmailing us with it.

Ode terrorist, have you seen where Christian dey killl because of religion before?
You know for sure anywhere islamic is , there is no peace there. You better wake up to reality.

NIN is not about a person but about our darling Country moving forward.

A better Nigeria is all we want.
A better Nigeria is what we shall get.

Why is Patami so obsessed with NIN all in d name of fighting crime? Is he d minister of crime or d minister of communication?

According to u:

In 2015, this same govt forced nigerians to do bvn with d same excuse u are giving now that bvn will end kidnappings, corruption and 419. Ol boy, can u pls give an update on that?

From this article, it shows Islam is misleading her adherents. The author skilfully tried to present Islam as a religion of peace where there are strong evidences that it isn't. Only the gullible will fall for this.

Eseoghene want to be politically and religiously correct because she's a convert into that religion, a religion her ancestors in their right state of mind won't join.

Freedom of association and speech is allowed so long it doesn't violate the right of others.
