No fewer than eight security operatives are feared killed when gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra launched a night attack on two checkpoints along the Airport Road, Omahwa in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.


This is coming barely a week after the state police command said it had beefed up security at border towns following threats of an attack by members of the proscribed IPOB in the state.

The attacks, which took place about 11:30 pm on Saturday, were at the Joint Taskforce checkpoint in Omagwa and the Nigeria Customs Checkpoint at Isiokpo, also in Ikwerre LGA of the state.


Sources in the area said the attacks were launched simultaneously on the two security locations.


The source said, “Two burnt corpses were recovered at the JTF checkpoint. While three were recovered at the Customs checkpoint and three other dead corpses were also recovered at the scene.”


When contacted, spokesman for the state police command, Nnamdi Omoni, said an official statement on the incident would be made public soon, while spokesman of the 6 Division, Nigeria Army, Major Charles Nkwocha was yet to respond to calls to his mobile.

Really sad but how did we get here..

For many years, the security forces have been slaughtering this IPOB people with any real cause..

Buhari sidelined Igbos, IPOB became real then Buhari unleashed the military on them while some southerners and northerners were cheering them..


Fast forward it , IPOB is armed and raising serious fund for more arms, it's now fire for fire which is very dangerous for the security forces since it's purely a guerrilla warfare.

It's pertinent to state that, the security forces will lose this fight for solely one reason.

IPOB is supported by over 80 percent Igbos, now this is the harsh reality even for the governor's of the SE. Today they don't want to blame IPOB cause they understand this reality.


Buhari is to be blamed, after sidelining Igbos he should come back to bring them back in as a president of the whole nation. Using force to quench this will get to no where , Nigeria finances is bleeding seriously, getting the loan to manage the country is very hard now talk less of foreign investment.

This clash will be perceived as civil war reloading by the international community coupled with bokoharam, fulaniherdmen and banditry , it's fair to say the country is finish.



Lastly for those thinking the west will support Nigeria against Biafra again , please think again..
The west now considers Buhari as an extreme Islamist who is bent on destroying the Christians, any act of war is the end of Nigeria.
