foreign reserves drawn down.
Federation Account, emptied.
We made the highest revenue in the history of our nation, But they still borrowed money to pay salaries!!!
And the economy was set on an irreversible path to recession.
NEVER AGAIN will our nation be that unfortunate.

The truth is that the reversal is not a reflection of good image on our government as i can't remember that last time any government in the world reversed itself withing one month on an important issue. Well, Kaztec and Addax have worked together on different projects before including these OMLs under discussion and Kaztec is familiar with the sites and have done work there. I believe that both Addax and Kaztec should sit down and have a discussion on way forward and approach the government with their agreement. This should work out to the benefit of Kaztec, Addax and the Nigerian government.

The reversal of the revocation order though commendable is actually an embarrassment to the FG. How did DPR get to revoke the leases in the first place if neither the President as Minister of Petroleum or NNPC as lease holder didn't know?

Best thing would have been to wait until 2022 when the lease expires and not renew it. That would have been more sensible than the whole mess this became.
