Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) in charge of Zone 11, Olasupo Ajani, has pleaded with Nigerians to stop the attack being meted out on policemen in the country.

While speaking during a stakeholders' meeting and familiarisation visit to the Oyo State Police Command at its Headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, on Tuesday, April 27, AIG Ajani said Nigerians no longer respect the police as it was before the EndSARS protest.

According to him, the police and the citizens have been along together before the EndSARS saga, adding that the protest gave room for disrespect between both parties.

You also forget to tell your men to stop extortion from gullible.
Until your men turn a new leave, Nigerians won't have respect for them. They should do the needful and they get back that respect they seek for.

Is he talking about the days of Akuzu SARS? police brutality? jailing innocent Nigerians without conviction? Killing of Nigerians and calling them "armed robbers"? Having close to 40% of officers guiding VIPs while we remain insecure? He should come out and specify.

These people are so empty an shallow

A reasonable AIG will discuss what they have been doing and future plans to effect changes and redeem the image of his institution.

They just keep "spitting on our heads" because they know we are powerless to resist......... At least for now.
