Not enough, lasg should ban okada, that alone will solve 50% security problem in Lagos
so after that, how do you respond when their okada is seized and they report the officer to a major in the army who claim to be the owner of the okada.

Happy New Month....are you sure you are one of those the Governor has given Indefinite Quit Notice?
Hahahaha

BTW from information reaching me it seems occupying and staying in uncompleted or completed edifices is much prevalently occurring in LEKKI environs in Lasgidi .
I think the first step to creating an effective security measure is to install CCTV in most streets in Lagos.
Just that we have very clueless, incompetent and corrupt leadership presently that can't relate or act futuristically! SMH.

Good one.

Make your life a completed life by giving your life to Jesus.

Don't live an uncompleted life whereby satan will take advantage of you and your family.

Believe on the Lord and let him build your life to a complete life in God.

Good morning nairalander

If the government is serious about curbing insecurity, they should pick all those rough looking boys found at various busstops in Lagos

From Mushin to Oshodi (front of and around ARENA) to Agege (around AP) to Pen Cinema (along the railway) to Amule/ Megida, Ayobo, all the way down to Ifako-Ijaiye to Abule egba...

Those guys are the real reason Lagosians can't walk freely at night again, even the way they try to hassle you for money during the day sef dey fear person

Best news I've heard all week, this will reduce those street urchins that hawk gala and also involve in petty theft.....the lagos state government should also put out a hotline were people can call in to report persons disregarding this law.
Re: Insecurity: Lagos Bans Illegal Occupation Of Abandoned, Uncompleted Buildings by ecomalchemist(m): 6:16am On May 01
Lagos state has gone to the dogs.

You can't walk freely without being harrased.

The rate of crime and insecurity has quadrupled over the past few months.

If i hit thd street to get a few things, its egbon tuaile, tuaile oga mi, omo iya mi tuale...just for a few bucks.

How long will you tuaile me ?

tuaile is not a sustainable plan, sanwo eko should enroll street urchins chanting owo da from morning till night in a vocational trade or something, thank you.

That would be a herculean task, there is deficiency in the transport system hence the need for commuters to find alternative means (keke, okada, danfo).

Nice, immigration should pick up those fulani and Chad illegal roamers and immigrants, loitering Lagos streets, they can be used as pawns by terrorists. Those Almajiri beggars should be cleared, boko haram can plant suicide bombers among them, and cause deaths and destruction in Lagos.

You won't understand until you see an hustler in Lekki.

where do you think the cleaners, security, sales boys and girls, gardeners, drivers, dispatch riders etc who reside in island are living?

Nice step. LASG should start from the Fulani artisans and Okada men occupying Federal government abandoned properties on the Island. You will weep when you pass these buildings in the evening and see their women selling Tuwo to the terrorists seating on the ground.

I commend the LASG. Let strong men like Helinues and Simplyleo go and get rid of these terrorists living in the building. Some notable properties are behind the TBS.

you are absolutely right about this most especially at that Agege side. Any time I passed through that route whether day or night, those guys will try to obtain or even look for your trouble intentionally and if you ain't wise, na sorry for you oo. And the most surprising thing about this is that they will be people around there just looking at you when those things are going on

Stop using sophistication in your sentence ! The country is on it knees or perhaps at the verge of collapse, because you help brought a NEPA bill certificate man , lifeless, terrorist sympathiser, dementia dullard into power in the name sophisticated and intelligence.
Afonja and the term sophistication shouldn't be used in Thesame sentence..

oyo state governments should do the same thing ban okada and tricycle, all these unbridled mean of transport bring in insecurity.
