Jonathan always doing things on paper only upon all the revenues accrued to that government. And now everyone wants PMB to do all things with scarce resources, yet they are busy insulting PMB and sponsoring insecurity etc. God bless PMB! God bless Nigeria!

Their leaders will soon squander that with nothing to show, then they'll set their people against other regions claiming they are the ones holding niger-delta back. People just need to wake up in this country.

Lol the foundation of this nation is shaky. One can tell how confused the president and his cabinet is right now. Buhari is the cause of the rift; you can’t have citizens wail since GEJ tenure just to continue with the worst president ever seen. Everyone is tired, impeach Buhari and there’ll be peace or hope again. Right now, it just seems like we don’t even have a president, considering how terrorism thrive easily in this country. There’s no investment by this country, the citizens are its investment and now the citizens will not be milked by a government who don’t care about their well-being. Biafra did not start in a day. Nnamdi Kanu observed the failure in the government and is enforcing Biafra for his own gain (yes for his own gain). Only less than 10% originally wanted Biafra. The others were influenced by how many times the government has failed them. Go to Onitsha and Aba you’ll understand that there’s someone out there who’s trying to get a huge benefit from our resources. Let us trust nobody, but let’s hope a war don’t break out. Just a small community war in Ughelli, and all shops, banks, markets have been closed for almost a week now. How do we cope if the same happens for years. Or you think Biafra war is just a week fight and it’s over?? How long did the previous one last?
The small country we have for ourselves let us try and bring in the one we want.
1.Don’t vote Tinubu,
2.don’t vote Atiku they’re the same sets of people, trust me
3. There’s still time to decide who’s best for us, please let’s not think about fighting a monarch government, it’s even worse if the ruler misbehaves, because there’s nothing like an election.
Let us be wise. They’ve promised us countless times. They will fail again. We need an overhaul of government

I will do what it takes to pay my bills, I never ask for handouts or take loans except from banks.

I won't depend on the Nigeria government, that's like walking into fire with your two eyes open.

That should be the question..

Simple reason is that many of those in the communities want the money to be shared by a few. They are not interested in the clean up. A proper process was put in place to disburse funds for clean up but the process has been frustrated. Proper internationally recognised and competent companies that won clean up contracts are being frustrated. No right thinking govt will disburse funds that will end up in private pockets. The balance is in an account set aside that no one can touch. Monies will be disbursed once proper processes are adhered to.

Those impacted by the spills were physically compensated after an out of court settlement was agreed with the communities. All they want is cash and more cash. Even areas cleaned up are reimpacted by activities of oil thieves and illegal crude refiners who keep polluting the environment and this does not agitate the minds of the communities enough.

Oil has been a curse to this people. A serious curse.

What they own, they hardly enjoy it. At least the common man there doesnt benefit 1 cent from it.

The irony is, on facebook, you still catch some of them fighting their Igbo neighbours... Their own relatives by blood. Meanwhile the vultures they left unattended are chewing down on them, crushing and sucking all from their lands completely dry.

The sadness of this case makes one understand that mankind is evil.
So painful. My family land hosts Shell petroleum yet there is nothing to show for it. And my people are silent.

The pandemic didn't help things neither did allegations of intense corruption in the region. undecided

Corruption probe: NDDC claims to have spent N81.5 billion in 7 months
The N81.5 billion was actually spent by the 2 Interim Management Committees of the NDDC.

the best way to handle this issue is to do phase by phase clean up. once clean up is properly and completely done, the area will be placed under the community watch. any spill on the land done by vandals, the community takes responsibility and not the IOCs
