... As Students Visit Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Company On Excursion

On Friday, 30th April 2021, Completion Agenda Exposition Campaign kicked off with participating schools drawn from Nsit Atai, and Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State.

The event which took place at the Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Company located in Awa, Onna Local Government Area, saw over 48 students from Essien Itiaba Community Secondary School, Nsit Atai Local Government and their counterpart from Secondary Commercial School in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, participating in the exercise.

Participating students were carefully selected by their various schools based on excellent and unprecedented academic performance.

Speaking during the event, Mrs Josephine Bassey, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring, and the progenitor of the campaign stated that she was motivated to embark on the exercise after she had discovered that the extracurricular learning culture in public schools had long gone into extinction.

The Completion Agenda Exposition Campaign, which is part of her project monitoring activities, but this time educating and exposing the younger generation to the activities and projects undertaken by Governor Udom Emmanuel led administration, is aimed at providing a learning platform for students in public schools who don’t have the advantage of embarking on academic expeditions like their counterparts in private schools, but this time, in a whole new experience.

During the event, Principals of the participating schools expressed their excitement, saying that this is the very first time since they took over their various schools as principals, that their students are having the opportunity of going out on excursions, emphasizing that it is part of the school curriculum, but no budget to cover the trip expenses.

A student from Essien Itiaba Community Secondary School in Nsit Atai who spoke with us during the exercise thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel, the Commissioner for Education, Mrs Idongesit Etiebet, and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring, Mrs Josephine Bassey for affording them the opportunity to visit the largest Syringe Manufacturing Company in Africa.

"Today, I've been shown the step by step procedures in syringe manufacturing. I have learnt the safety precautions in the production areas, we have been introduced to the raw materials we only hear in class rooms used in the productions, the machines needed and everything one would love to know about the whole process.

"I want to especially thank our education-friendly Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel who has made education free and compulsory for us, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, and Mrs Josephine Bassey for this experience, it has shaped my future, and I would love to work here someday", he said.

Also, a teacher from Secondary Commercial School, Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area who joined the exercise expressed her fulfilment in the campaign, reiterating that it was a very good learning exercise, and she believes the students have learnt so much as she has learnt.

Miss Ruth, the Quality Assurance Officer of Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Company who took the second batch of students through their facility was elated at the level of adaptability from the students and was forced to express her happiness.

"I am very happy today that the students were following up everything that they were taught, and it was evident in the Q&A session, and I must say, this is the first time, public school students have visited our facility on an excursion, and it is a welcome development." She said.

Highpoint of the event was the questions and answers session which was conducted by Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Company, where the students exhibited unprecedented performance and winners were given gifts by the host Company. Group photographs were taken, and refreshments were made available to the students to crown it all.

Gov Emmanuel is truly a man to beat.

He takes responsibility for everything in his state and tries to address any identified challenges within his ability and the state's resources.

Some useless sons of dogs whose useless fathers cant provide garri since 1990 have been screaming Buhari since 2015 till date.

Very pathetic animals.
