For a while now, it's has been a tradition in nigeria that employers of labour still have to undertake their newly recruited certified staffs through rigorous trainings to match them up with the standard of work currently being practiced in their respective industries.

This alone has caused a huge downgrade in the level of appreciation for certificates to that of tangible skills.
Most times, Employers today save themselves time in the process of selecting employees by asking for work experience, due to not being able to afford the luxury of hiring amateurs for jobs in their industry.

Then questions about how relevant certificates are ,due it's devaluation as compared to sabification (Skills) stiil remains a puzzle in the heart of young Undergraduates trying to acquire one?

currently, in 9ja, a Bsc, B.tech or B.eng is referred to as a password to get into the being interviewed by employers.

Nevertheless to be on a safer side Undergraduates are adviced to advance themselves through acquiring relevant skills in their different spheres of industry.
