Rosskiiku: China used microeconomic policies for her development before implementing mostly macroeconomic policies presently. "Macroeconomic policies improved in a majority of developing countries in the 1990s, but the expected growth benefits failed to materialize, at least to the extent that many observers had forecast. In addition, a series of financial crises severely depressed growth and worsened poverty [. . .] [B]oth slow growth and multiple crises were symptoms of deficiencies in the design and execution of the pro-growth reform strategies that were adopted in the 1990s with macroeconomic stability as their centerpiece” (World Bank, 2005, p. 95). Macroeconomic policy reactions to external shocks In the face of a negative terms of trade or financial shocks leading to a deterioration in the balance of payments and increasing poverty among populace. |

Difrent: How are they controlling, when their is a president?... they are only representing their country. All the aspects you mentioned are not controlled by Ibos, they are only players same way everyother person is as it is a level playing ground. I gave an example with the police because it was a bit glaring and quite predictable, yet happened.... An IG of police from eastern extraction would have gone a long way to douse that tension. |

justtoodark: I'll be first to admit there is SOME corruption in virtually all contracts awarded in Nigeria. I'm past hoping it will somehow end. We just need to see less amounts of money involved, which I believe is the case with this administration. Is there any one of us here who, if given the chance to oversee a contract, will not ''add their own cut on top''? It's as Nigerian as apple pie is American. If you don't do it, even your own wife and kids will disown you, and call you a fool. Your kinsmen will call you the mad man who spat out the juicy morsel the gods placed in his mouth. And we are not unique in this tendency to inflate contracts. Go to Russia, it's the same thing. We can STILL develop, even with corruption. Other countries have, so it is no excuse. What we cannot stand is another Jonathan-type administration of free for all grand looting. Theirs was just madness. 1 Like 1 Share |

Rosskiiku: Your words are precise, articulate, and full of wisdom.. you can only remind them, some people are so cursed that they subconsciously blind to the truth and unfortunately they cannot be saved. Nigeria Is the GIANT of Africa I was opportune to be in a business group chat where all African entrepreneurs connects and honestly, i realized outsiders know our worth and respect us more than we respect ourselves GOD BLESS NIGERIA OMOLUABI LEMIOO
