how?
No application (oral, electronic, paper, proxy) whatsoever?
How?
Even on linkedin that your resume is laid bare and can be seen as an open scalar application, companies still INVITE you to apply!

So how will you get a job without applying?

This guy make use of Facebook its an open source everything is public.

Key word here "I". Congrats that you did. She didn't.

How was she supposed to know that it was fake? Look at the details of the story and tell me how she would have known it was fake?

Sir she use my account to write, so another no fit use his friend or brother account to seek for clarification on something she didn't know. Although she does a phone. To secure a job is hard she applies through agent but never got any job from those agent after paying 3000 to secure a job.

Pls ignore... I was invited same way in 2017. I ended up going back home feeling very sad. Worst part is u will be asked to fill a form, write ur name in an attendance list, three to four ppl like u will be yawning almost immediately because d skinny guy addressing everyone is busy blabbing and talking so many bullshits u ain't even interested in.
Everything seem like a saddistic conference meeting. If u even try to make a move to leave, somebody will just rush u like honey only to ask u stupid questions and try to convince u to wait because of their so called refreshment. HOW CAN YOU OFFER REFRESHMENT TO AN APPLICANT FOR A JOB grin

We often get contracts from big firms to help them urgently fill a position. Most of the time, we don't send out adverts for this kind of placement, we prospect for qualified candidates and send them interview invites.

The most qualified ones get the job.

It's simple.

You can get a job without applying but that doesn't mean you won't be interviewed.

Ok simple question. The candidates you shortlist for interviews how do you get their info? Facebook?

As for interviews, people get jobs in this country without any form of interview, they just visit the HR and receive offer letters. It's standard practice in some organizations and is solely based on who is doing the referral!
I typed all that because that's not the argument here so don't shift goal post.

How do we get their info?

Its depends on the position you are filling.

You were the one that misread the post you quoted. Next time comment based on context.

I did not misread anything, You started with "adverts" and ended with "interviews" without addressing the main point.
Also, there has never been an argument about interviews here so why bring it up and try to represent it as the item for debate?

In any case, you haven't answered the question, how do you get applicants data before shortlisting for interviews? Your constant attempts to evade the question are quite poor.

I repeat, there must be an expression of interest pre employment! Whether it's deliberate or erroneous is not also the issue before you will shift again.

I owe you nothing. I don't have time for your rat race.

Why should I tell you how and where we source our candidates? If we start making the info publicly available then what leverage do we have over our clients and even other talent mgt firms?

Ok sir, it's obvious you really don't know what you are talking about!
Or you think you're the only one into talent management and acquisition?

If that makes you feel good.

On Nairaland, anybody can become anytime.

You can get a job without applying. FACT.

How do you fill a position for a Microsoft Azure specialist or an ERP consultant?

Do you go about wasting your time with open recruitment?

Specialized positions are often filled through placements and sometimes poaching clients top competitors' talent.

The latter is unethical but most recruiters are often concerned with the bottomline.

In your mind you have spoken big grammar. I am very familiar with all the jargons you used.

In any case, whoever is going to be interviewed has already expressed interest someway, somehow. Even developers on Turing express interest before being considered, politicians also so same!

Most specialists and experts perform what can be referred to as an Open Scalar Application or passive application, where they express interest on several portals without specifically directing it to an individual
/company. Any recruiter can visit the site, scan through the available prospects and then weigh their skills to choose the best suited candidate.

Lest I forget, the major way you fill the posts you mentioned are through referrals. Specialized fields require more than trial and error.

I am not going to continue with this shallow argument where all you do is shift goal post.

I'm done, now you can rant and use all sorts of jargons

Edit: I have reviewed your posts on this matter and I think I shouldn't have engaged you from the onset, you have an extremely poor description of what an application is.

One word of advise, you'd perform better in Sports as you possess a rare knack for changing the position of goal posts.

You that don't know what an application is, good luck.

Don't beat above your weight, dude.

You don't need to express any interest to a job for certain positions.

Open Scalar application as if you even understand that.

I got a text message around 11:06pm from a company called Cflead yesterday telling me to come for a job interview based on recommendations.
The first thing that popped to my mind was that it must definitely be a scam and then I decided to wait till today so as to check them up on Nairaland, that’s when I discovered that they have been sending scammed messages to a lot of people.
I am sure they are just sending messages to people and whoever that fell for their trap will definitely be scammed.
Beware!!!!!
