Mr Austin Umweni a popular pharmacist in Edo state has been killed.

He was said to have been killed by a hit-and-run driver in Benin City, Edo state while observing his jogging excersise.

According to reports , Mr Umweni was jogging in the early hours of Saturday, May 1st, along Airport Road when the driver said to be driving a Mercedes Benz car hit him. He was said to have died on the spot. 

 


Meanwhile, the family of the deceased was said to have stormed  the state traffic division on Sapele Road and requested the authorities to fish out his killer.

 


One of the employees at the pharmacy store located on Igun street benin city described the deceased as a very compassionate man.

A female customer describe the decease as a jovial and happy personality.

Kontongs Bello Spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, who has since confirmed the incident, said that he was yet to receive full report of the situation. 
 

Meanwhile, The remains of Mr Austin Umweni has been deposited at a morgue in the state capital.
