The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), in keeping with its culture of public education, has advised telecommunications subscribers to link their SIM cards and national identity numbers, or NINs, as soon as possible.

Further delays in taking advantage of the recent extension of the earlier deadline could catch some of them off guard, according to the report, as the federal government may no longer extend the current deadline.
