A recent update on the Whatsapp's website, has disclosed what exactly will happen to the accounts of users who won't be accepting its updated terms and privacy policy.

The Facebook owned messaging platform noted that it's not planning on deleting the accounts of users that don’t accept the new privacy policy but will render them as useless as possible. Whoops, you read that right, and this is how they plan to do it.

Whatsapp accounts that choose not to accept the new and updated privacy terms, the app will continually show a notification requesting you to accept the terms and after a period of about several weeks, the notification will become more frequent and persistent. And then boom, WhatsApp app will automatically switch to a limited functionality mode.

Whatsapp's limited functionality mode will prevents users from accessing their chat list. WhatsApp stated that if they receive a chat, they will be able to open it through their notifications and also respond to them. In this mode, users will also be able to respond to incoming audio and video calls.

Further refusal to accept the terms, the messaging platform will block such users from receiving calls and messages. And these will render the app completely useless to those affected accounts.
