West Ham want Abraham loan deal

Chelsea's £40m asking price too high for suitors

West Ham will try to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on loan, reports The Athletic.

Abraham is facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea have put a £40 million ($56m) asking price on the England international.

Aston Villa, Leicester and Newcastle have also shown an interest in Abraham, but the proposed fee is dissuading clubs from making a bid.

Instead, West Ham are reportedly hoping that clubs’ reluctance to meet Chelsea’s demands will present an opportunity to take Abraham on loan next season.

Blues eager to bring in Tottenham star

Chelsea are determined to win the race for Tottenham striker Harry Kane - according to Football Insider.

The Blues have identified the 27-year-old, who has also been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City, as a top target ahead of the summer transfer window.

Kane is reportedly valued in excess of £100 million ($140m0, but it has been suggested he will push to leave Spurs in order to fulfil his trophy ambitions.

Man Utd to double Fernandes salary

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes is to see his wage packet double in size over the summer, according to the Sun.

Fernandes has proved a fantastic acquisition for the Reds since joining from Sporting, and the club will now push his salary to £200,000-a-week in order to tie him down to Old Trafford.

Club keen to retain Uruguayan for another year

Manchester United are considering a lucrative new deal to persuade Edinson Cavani to stay, claims the Sun.

The Uruguayan, who is a target for Argentine giants Boca Juniors, would see his wages increased to a massive £250k a week in order to play another year in the Premier League.

Julian Draxler has agreed to sign a one-year extension with PSG, Le Parisien reports.

The Germany international was out of contract in the summer.

Everton have a good chance of signing Merih Demiral this summer, according to Calciomercato.

The defender was coveted by several teams in recent years, but Juventus knocked back an approach from AC Milan while enquiries from Tottenham and Roma were also turned away.

Demiral is no longer an indespensible part of the Bianconeri squad, however, and could be on the move.

But Milan do not want him anymore and have instead made Fikayo Tomori a bigger priority, while Spurs and Roma are looking elsewhere, too.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson expects Eberechi Eze to stay at the club for the 2021-22 season.

Eze, 22, played a starring role as Palace ensured they will avoid relegation with a goal and an assist in their 2-0 win at Sheffield United on Saturday.

Hodgson is not worried about the prospect of losing the England Under 21 international and is confident Palace will do all they can to fight off interest from other clubs.

Everton have joined the race to sign Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare - according to Foot Mercato.

Leicester City, Wolves and Aston Villa have also been linked with the 22-year-old, while Newcastle saw a £35 million ($49m) bid for his services rejected in January.

Soumare has played a key role in Lille's tilt at the Ligue 1 title this term, featuring in 30 of their 36 games so far.

German FA urged to speed up Flick pursuit

The German football association (DFB) must speed up their pursuit of Hansi Flick, according to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who says that the Bayern Munich coach will be in "great demand" this summer.

Flick has been touted as the main candidate to replace Joachim Low as Germany's next manager following the European Championship.

The DFB has already confirmed that it has held initial talks with the 56-year-old, but a final agreement has yet to be reached, with Rummenigge warning that he will have plenty of other options to consider if negotiations fail to advance soon.

Inter not planning to take up Vidal extension option

Inter are not planning to take up the option to extend Arturo Vidal's contract - according to Calcio Mercato.

The Chilean midfielder's current deal expires in 2022, and the Nerazzurri have decided against keeping him on for an extra year due to his lofty salary demands.

Vidal currently earns €6.5 million per season at Inter, who are in the process of trying to balance their books after posting record debt during the coronavirus crisis.

Renato Sanches touted for Roma switch

Lille midfielder Renato Sanches is being touted for a summer switch to Roma - according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The Giallorossi are planning to make a move for the 23-year-old if they can raise enough funds through player sales this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti is a keen admirer of the 25-year-old, who could be available for around £25 million ($35m) when the transfer market reopens.

Fulham are resigned to lose Anguissa once their relegation to the Championship is confirmed, with Everton poised to make an official bid.

Juve declare De Ligt not for sale

Juventus have declared that Matthijs de Ligt is not for sale - according to Tuttosport.

Chelsea and Barcelona have reportedly sounded out the Bianconeri over possible summer moves for the 21-year-old, but they have no plans to sanction his departure.

De Ligt still has three years to run on his current contract, and has featured in 31 games across all competitions for Juve in 2020-21.

Gabby Agbonlahor hopes that former Aston Villa loanee Axel Tuanzebe can be lured back to Birmingham in the coming transfer window.

“He’s the sort of player that would push the two Villa centre-halves at the moment," Agbonlahor told Football Insider of the Manchester United defender.

“He’s got great pace, he’s a great player and he’s played at Aston Villa before. He can play at right-back too so he can fill in at that position.
