JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SENIOR ASSOCIATE COUNSEL
Canaan Partners is seeking a full-time lawyer to serve as senior associate counsel . This position requires tactical support of several of the Firm’s practice groups, collaboration with the Dispute resolution unit, and the firm’s other business professionals.

JOB SUMMARY
* Have passion and experience in litigation/ court room practice.
*Ability to prepare pleadings for magistrates, High court ,federal high court, national industrial court.
*Ability to process appellate pleadings from Appeal to Supreme court.
• Draft a wide variety of legal agreements.
• Conduct searches at the lands registry and perfect real estate documentation at the appropriate lands registry.
• Conduct searches and file other applications at the corporate affairs commission(CAC)
• Prepare probate documents and file relevant applications at the Probate Registry
• Provide advisory services to the business units and departments of the firm’s clients
• Provide legal support to all departmental projects and job functions.
• Attend Board meetings and take minutes
• Review policy documents

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Qualification: Barrister at Law(B.L)
• Experience Level: Entry level (5-7years post-call)
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite to include MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
