To make matters worse, till date, the average northern Muslim considers himself more superior to a Southern Muslim

What you have is racism, both race and language,.Arab Muslims are viewed as superior to black Muslims, among the black Muslims, those from semitic roots are regarded as more superior, eg Fulani Muslims are viewed as superior to indigenous tribes in Nigeria, who are Muslims.

God is in heaven, and I've never seen Him come down to solve issues like this before. Which is why I'm confronting you with the question. Because from my own perspective and experience, northern Muslims claim they are the true Muslims faithfuls in Nigeria. That's why you'll always see the Sultan of Sokoto declaring the beginning and end of the Ramadan fast. So that means that islam is very, very tribalistic

But there is sectionalism in islam. Shite against sunni. There is also religious radicalism which is worse than tribalism.
