The wife of the late Nollywood star Ashley Nwosu said her husband died, because he was abandoned by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) and the other key stakeholders in Nollywood. The widow Mrs. Grace Nwosu said they deserted him when he was critically ill. In fact, many members of AMP were owing him. When the family sought for the help of his colleagues, they received little or nothing. Its unfortunate that this outstanding Nollywood star died, because he could not afford the required medical treatment to save his life when the leadership of the AGN and AMP were bragging that they were getting millions of naira from the government and making millions of naira from their movies? What a wicked world.
