VOLUNTEER VACACY IN AN NGO
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide administrative support and assistance as duly assigned with a focus on organization’s goals and objectives.
• Participate in organizational activities towards achieving organizational goals.
• Represent the organization in high profile meetings in Abuja, within or outside Nigeria.
• Readiness to travel within and outside the country for trainings, meetings and fellowship programmes.
• Undertake, initiate and participate in field work and field task and/or special assignments.
• Undertake community mobilizing of grassroots entrepreneurs, enlightenment, sensitizations and mentorship.
• To perform other functions or duties as assigned by the Management or the Executive Director.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
• Experience of organising and managing event. A positive, resilient, flexible and adaptable “can-do” attitude that can see way through challenges.
• An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity and good working relationships, both in terms of day-to-day working practices, but also in relation to management systems.
• Demonstrate commitment to own Continued Organizational or Professional Development.
• Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, PowerPoint
• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
• At least graduate qualification in Economics, Business Administration, Entrepreneurial Studies, Marketing or related courses.
• Experience of working in the field, rural or community engagement and ability to network with grassroots people, grassroots leaders and organizations.
• Knowledge of, and keen interest in entrepreneurship development among youth, women and people with disabilities in Nigeria.
• In-depth knowledge of the economy, versatile with Federal or State government economic development policies and programmes.
• Experience of working in or with senior stakeholders in government Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and similar institutions in Nigeria.
• Experience in an organisation with complex stakeholder interactions.
• Proven track record of cross-team and cross organisation collaboration.
• Ability to conceptualize and develop a proposal, and document project activities report.
• Proven communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and nurture key relationships and maintain effective networks with stakeholders.
• MUST have a functional laptop computer for work, those without a laptop computer, need NOT to apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND REQUIRMENTS
Volunteers/Interns should be HND or Degree holders in Economics, Public Admin, Mass Communication, Law, Accounting, Sociology and any other social sciences.

NOTE: NOTE: NOTE: This is not a paid job, but a stipend of N10,000 monthly will be given to interns to augment transportation. Applicants close to Nyanya preferably, will be more appropriate to reduce cost of transportation to and fro work.

2. A write-up to be published in a Newspaper on the topic: The effect of insecurity on Nigeria Entrepreneurship Development", recommending steps the government should adopt to address it.
