Do you know how many Political Appointee's these Governors have that are not necessary?
Do you know the amounts allocated for Estacodes and other allowances for Governors, their aides, DG's ,Head of State Institutions and Parastals?

Do you know how much they embezzle during Contracts and others?

Sacking Workers just to reduce State Expenditure without Reducing the number of his Appointee's and embezzlements is very very wrong.

Most of those countries that formed the basis of ur comparism have palliative measures for retrenched citizens. How much has the Nigerian govt given out, in terms of benefits, to the vast unemployed citizens? It is the responsibility of a gud leader to manage the economy so as to benefit all.

The north have run out of ideas on leadership (they never had anyway), wealth creation and security of their people. There is currently no Think Tank in the entire north except for 'Divide and Rule'. They spent years sowing discord within their southern neighbours forgetting to attend to theirs.

Leadership is not a static interpretation of an idea but a continuous learning process of adaptability in impacting the lives of people positively. Where is this coming from, how does it relate to the topic at hand. if you insist it is then you are on a long thing. Now on the topic, the governor is doing the right thing. it is not healthy for any government to use up to 70% of its revenue on recurrent expenditure. there is need for diversification. also the North have always had leaders and leadership with focus. it is the South that has been lacking. if you compare the North and South over the last 20years you will see that the North has it far more than the South.

You did not tell us the number of appointees, Head of agencies aside.
Am telling you that civil service in Nigeria is over bloated and some of them have no Job description.
How can there be 5 cars and 30 drivers. A story building will have 17 cleaners.

If you owna company can you run it successfully that way. Most of the civil servants are there and adding no value and government pays them for staying at home e.g during the pandemic most workers were at home govt was running smoothly

The approach is what I don't like but downsizing is needed no matter how emotional we are about the situation.

How can a government use 85-90% of its revenue to pay salaries and you to meet other responsibilities am not saying our governors are innocent though
