Chapter 1
Before i begin my story, i would have you know that this is top secret, yes one of those top secrets that only intelligence agencies and government officials in high places know of. They hide it in vaults, speak about it in hushed tones and would kill anyone who said it to another ear.
So if you have issues with keeping secrets, you shouldn't read this because if they ever found out that you said a thing, they will find you and they will kill you.
No! I don't mean the government officials, i mean the people of whom this story is about. They're not your regular defence forces; the potbellied, dimwit ones(no offense), no. They're deadlier, smarter and look so much like ordinary people that you wouldn't know who they were.
I know you're wondering, if this was all top secret like I claim it is, how did i get such information? Why am i sharing it without fear of being caught? Am i one of them? Am i a mole or a private contractor sharing it for how much money i can get?
You get to choose what to believe.
First time I'd come in contact with the Sabers(yes, that's what they're called) I'd been in chur. I'm not a habitual church goer, that wasn't even the church I attended whenever i felt like it, I'd gone to this church because of a man.
Don't u dare say i am lewd, i mean, it's not my fault the man was fine, also not my fault that his church walked barefoot, lit coloured candles and spoke endlessly in tongues. I'd tried to get his attention severally yet he ignored me like i had the virus.
I dare say that i love the chase so even though i traced him to his church and was hungry as hell because the service had lasted for four hours without ending anytime soon, i didn't complain and i didn't leave, even with the loud instrumentals and gibberish.
I noticed her the only moment I took my eyes off the man; smooth skin, obviously pampered.
Her cap looked like an intercontinental chef's, covering both her ears, her dress was turtle necked, puff sleeved and flowed all the way to the ground. Her attire didn't, at all, conceal her beauty, her grace.
Moments later she'd shot up from her chair and whirled around in circles, like she was possessed in some way. I felt such a creature wouldn't decieve me. For her, i was willing to believe that there really was a spirit there and that it had possesed her.
The man, obviously their leader because of the quality of his clothes and the way the others revered him held on to her; one hand on her chest, the other on her waist screaming 'receive it'. I'd shifted a lot closer by now, wanting to see what spirit she'd been possessed of.
The leader was still screaming 'receive it' when the girl said "receive this motherfucker" and shot him twice i the chest with a silencer gun.
Yes, you read that last line right, she shot him. Everybody ran outside yet i stood transfixed; mouth open, eyes wide, watching her as she took off her cap and dress, stuck her gun to her gun holder, smiled a little at me and ran out.
I could've have stood there for longer, disbelieving untill i remembered that the police would soon come to arrest any and every one on sight. I ran out through the back door, flagged down a keke and asked him to drive as fast as he could from there.
I should've known those people were trouble and stayed away but stubborn head no go gree me, i decided to find out more about them. cheesy

Chapter 2
M opened the door to the Kompressor they had hired for this operation. The driver try as he may couldn't stop staring at the splatter of blood on her face as she cleaned it off with a tissue she got off his dashboard. She'd caught him looking at her twice and she could sense a mild fear in him.
" Where are you from?" She asked casually, looking at her face through the side mirror.
"I'm igbo ma'am but I've lived in yoruba land all my life" he answered, wondering if he could ask questions too.
She noticed the driver trying to hide the bloody tissue under his seat before noticing the check point ahead.
"Hapu ya, I'll handle it" she said. Taking out a small pen knife she gave herself a little cut on her forehead without flinching, then grabbed more tissue and placed it on the bleeding forehead.
The police officer gestured with his hand for their car to stop.
In a clear black American accent, M said " Officer, I'm kinda inna hurry, some niggas jumped me and made away with all my shit, could y'all just let him take me to a hospital?"
The officer, potbellied with his baton under his right armpit and picking his teeth with a toothpick said "Madam, i no dey hear all that one wey u dey talk o, show me your particulars, driver's license and tinted permit or better still, find me something"
M reached for her gun but the driver palmed a 1000 naira note into the officers hand and the officer signalled for them to let them pass.
M took out her phone, scanned her iris to open it and placed a call to Kronos.
"
Oi! Kronos, how are you doing mate" she said with a British accent.
" There's an officer, name tag Eda J N, identification number 12077, he just stopped my car and collected bribe from my driver, tell your boss to put him in the guard room for three days and let him know I'm the reason he's there, cherio!"
She turned off her flash, silently took a photo of the driver and sent it to a contact named binary with the message 'get me everything there is to know about this guy.
'Okwa ina su igbo?' M asked.
' Not very much' he answered, hesitated a little then said
'Would you just have killed that man like that?
M's phone beeped, binary had replied her message.
'Christopher ugoeye, born in ndike, moved to Ojia when he was four, has a bachelor's degree in fine and applied art, drives taxi's, drives a school bus as a part time job, currently lives in a self contained building in koko, that's you abi?
The driver stared at her in surprise.
"How did you know all that?
"My friend, look road now, you wan kill me? She said to him. He apologized and kept driving.
"Drop me off at that branch there".
She got out of the car and leaned in through the window.
"If so much as a word of what happened today leaves your mouth to another person's ear, i will find you, and i will kill you. E clear you ba? The driver nodded and drove off.
Few seconds later, he receives an alert of 500,000 naira from an offshore account.

Chapter 3
Binary munched on some chips as she watched M come in through her monitor. She starts clapping immediately M walks in.
"Let's welcome M! Fierce defender of human kind, best shot shooter and all round baddo! Weldone Ma! I hail you" she said bowing mockingly and grabbing her chips.
"Which one come be shot shooter again?" M asked, collecting the bag of chips from Binary and munching on a few."
"You wan tell me say u give that driver 500k, just like that even after paying the company he works with without strings attached? Haba! Dey lie lie give person wey no know you o." Binary said, opening the fridge to get a pack of chin chin.
" The guy paid that yeye police man na so i had to return the favor."
"By multiplying the money, five hundred times! That's more than a favour dear, that's a grand romantic gesture". M hissed and threw the empty bag of hips at her.
"No watch your weight o, dey here dey chop ten bags of chips in two hours" M said, sitting beside Binary to peer at the monitor.
" Thanks to you l, the country is free off one more pedophile, child trafficker and community preeq" Binary said typing on her keyboard. She brought out every information they had on Segun and clicked delete.
" You know, when I was supposedly under anointing and he held me, he was touching my breast, walahi" M said
" Shebi i tell you say na community preeq? They both laughed at that.
M had a distant look on her face and Binary could feel it.
"How are you feeling, M?" Binary asked, turning away from her computer to hold M's hand.
"I'm fine really, just sometimes i miss being a normal human being, memories of my old life came flashing and i wanted to shoot more bullets untill my hands hurt and the gun smoked and whoever i shot was nothing but a bloodied mangled mess" M said.
Binary stayed quiet for a while then said
" Abeg, this one u dey find who to shoot, I'd better shift far from you before i become the victim, i never chop all the food wey dey hungry me finish"
"Gerrarahia jor! So tell me, who's the next person who deserves a bullet between the eyes?" M said.
Binary's fingers were fast on the keyboard as she produced the photo of a man, dark, bearded with a cigar in his mouth.
M and Binary stared at the photo for a while, each having a million thoughts in their heads.
" What do I have to do? M asked looking at Binary.
Binary shifted her chair to face her. Then she said
" M, I love you, but this job is for parté. This man is the head of some cult, not the popular ones rampant in universities butba close-knit one where all members are loyal to him and he alone. You're initiated by drinking his blood, you offer one of your fingers to him if u commit an offence and he indulges children as little as five in drug trafficking, sex working and assassination.
"I can handle this guy, i took down Kazim, didn't I and he's a lot dangerous than this guy". M said.
" Kazim's cartel was a loose one, even if you hadn't taken him down, he would have gone down somehow, one of his men was bound to take him out eventually. Last time we got close to getting info out of Racco's man, he slit his own throat with Parté's pen knife, this man isn't fucking around. We need Parté on this cause she's the razzest of all three of us and she knows how the street works" Binary said, going back to munching on her chin chin.
" You're sure this is something Parté can handle?" M asked, drumming her fingers on the table
"As sure as i am about you catching feelings for the driver" Binary said smiling.
" Then you're not sure" M said walking out of the tech room. Binary waited for M to leave before logging into her Facebook account, the one she'd encrypted to make sure nobody could log into. She looked longingly at a picture of Timini Egbuson and sighed.
" Someday, you're going to know my name and love me as much as i love you" she said in a dreamy voice.
" That day won't ever come" M said, she had re entered the tech room.
" By the way, where is Parté?"
Club nights are fun nights and Parté loved club nights, actually, Parté clubbed every other night she wasn't on a mission but she liked to say clubbing was a way of gathering information; the little gossips in the restroom when people went in for touchups, the drunken sputtering by the bar somehow managed to be useful in most cases.
She was in her fifteenth or so pint of vodka and she was floating above every other person in the room, as a matter of fact she was an astronaut on her way to mars. This tall dark guy kept staring at her, you know the stare, the one where he's talking to his friends but he's staring at her and blinking and smiling a slow subtle smile. It had been going on for a while now and if he didn't have the balls to come to her, she would go to him. Downing the last shot of vodka she rose to meet him.
"Hey stud muffin" she said, putting the porcelain nail on her right index finger in her mouth"
"Hey, how are you doing?" He said in a deep, deep bass voice that did things to Parté's insides.
" I'd just go straight to the point, the bathroom is free and you're hot and I've had too much to drink so what d'you say we burn out all that alcohol by having mad sex" Parté said with an expressionless face.
The man was in shock, a small, hard to notice but easy for Parté to notice because she had an eye for detail, look of disappointment passed his face. He probably wanted to get to know each other better over a drink, sleepovers and PDA's. Too bad Parté didn't believe in and couldn't offer him that.
'I'm game" he said and followed her to the bathroom.
Just as he was about to pull off her dress, Parté heard something unusual.
"Stop for a minute" she said, straining her ears to hear .
The man kept kissing her neck saying " i want you now". She chuckled and kissed him back before saying " no, really, lemme check that everything is fine and I'll get back to you and your machine gun."

Chapter 4
I heaved a sigh of relief as i sat on the bean bag that sometimes doubled as a bed for me.
A few bribes here and there and seduction had gotten me my prize: a file filled with all the information i needed on the sabers.
I won't lie, i expected them to be a lot harder to find. I thought I'd have to sleep with some nerdy, unattractive hacker who would spend days trying to get into their website. Instead, i paid a couple of tens of thousands and promised an old man a picture of my boobs to get these files.
With all the gadgets in these recent times i couldn't believe the still wrote things down on paper.
I decided I'd read the file after I've had something to eat. I'm not lazy, i just don't like cooking. Why go through all the stress when you can pay somebody to do it? Indomie go belleful me, tomorrow, I'd order soups and stews.
I missed having someone in my life. The nights were getting quieter and lonelier and i was getting older and no longer enjoying the things i thought were fun.
I shook my head as if it could take the thoughts away. I must be ovulating because my mood swings were bad. While waiting for the old man to fetch me the files, I'd stared at a painting, hanging just above his seat.
"Mother's love" it read and I'd stared longingly at the mother smiling lovingly at the suckling child.
If it were happier times, I would laugh about how I always thought breastfeeding would be such a turn on for me. How i would drop my baby and go and do one round before coming back to feed him again.
But these weren't happier times. I was reminded of how fickle life was when that lady shot the man at the church. Talking about the lady, i had to read their file!
Turning on my phone's flash (God punish NEPA) I opened the file...
Wait, what the Bleep am i seeing? Everything is written in Chinese!!! This couldn't be, i flicked through the file to make sure it was legit before giving the man to sign off on it. How the hell am i expected to translate?
I'd given that old fool the wrong number else i would have called him to curse him with bald female descendants.
Throwing the useless file into the trash can, i went to my beside cabinet to get a sedative. I hate to admit but i am addicted to sleeping pills. I drown the world and all it's problems out by just sleeping for long, long hours. Getting a glass of water from my fridge, i opened the cabinet to find a small white paper right on top my sedative. My heart skipped a thousand beats. A Saber tiger was printed on it. My house had looked perfectly fine when i'd walked in, nothing was out of place.
My hands really shook as i tried to open the paper.
It wasn't possible, it couldn't have happened. Written in clear words was one of my worst fears.
"We know about Daniel"
My head rang as i shook it in disbelief, how could they know, just how?
I heard my phone beep and went to check it, the same sentence "we know about Daniel"written over and over and over again.
Somehow, my phone acted on it's own, somehow, I'd confirmed to google that the action performed a few minutes ago was authorised by me, I'd even written my self an email, telling myself "we know about Daniel" and sending myself a picture of my old dairy.
I didn't need a prophet to tell me, i got the message loud and clear. I couldn't risk anybody knowing the real story about Daniel and i had to stay away from the Sabers. No message could've been any clearer...

Chapter 5
Binary sipped on a cola while watching the girl on the screen.
"That should keep her quiet" she said. M threw a knife at a target.
"The girl doesn't mind a scandal, she wouldn't mind sharing the Daniel story." M said, throwing another knife at the target.

"I'll bet my entire investments in bitcoin on that, it's too bad a reputation to have"
"Person wey dey work for him sugar daddy company, with no known position but a healthy pay. She's the type to allow the man's wife disgrace her in public, and take an all expense paid trip to Dubai to recover from the shock and still continue to date the sugar daddy". M said throwing another knife.
The door creaked open and M threw a knife at it, missing Parté's face by a few inches.
"You wan kill me?!" Parté screamed, shutting the door behind her.
"Where have you been?" Binary asked her, lifting one brow.
" I'm not in a good mood, i witnessed the worst thing ever..." Parté proceeded to tell them what had happened in the club. She'd taken her clothes off, a habit, wearing a half cut and panties.
"It's a good thing you have that much hatred for Racco because he's our next target and the mission is yours" M said, eating an apple.
"Lemme see everything we have on the guy" Parté said.
"Ah ah! Sister, calm down. You just got back, at least eat and rest before you read his file" Binary said.
"You no go talk sey hungry dey catch you and you want make i cook" Parté replied.
" That's payment for getting to see you walk naked all the time" Binary said, shifting away before Parté could hit her playfully.
Parté made semo and vegetable soup. M was the only one using cutlery.
" You should try using your hands sometime" Parté said, swallowing a mouthful.
"M loosening up is like bringing dinosaurs back to life, it can't ever happen" binary said, licking her fingers.
"Same thing with any of your online lovers and celebrity crushes falling in love with you. It won't happen" M said.
"Online lovers? What online lovers" Binary asked, clearly embarrassed.
"The ones you use your supposed secret Facebook account to chat with. The lady in the picture doesn't even look like you, you're building a relationship on lies yet you keep wondering why u can't find love? Gimme a break!" Parté said, chewing on a piece of meat.
"How did you both know about the account sef?"

" We're the Sabers, just cause you're the tech babe don't mean we're computer illiterates. The life we live is too dangerous for love Bi, let it go." M said.
"Let me worry about that" she said, packing up her plates to wash at the sink.
Parté woke up to follow Binary but M stopped her saying" leave her be, it's better to feel sad now than go through what we went through"
"At least, we experienced it, she's never, maybe she needs to so she can understand.
Few minutes later, everyone sat in the tech room, Parté and M listened while Binary read aloud.
"... The celebrations should hold in two days, judging from the kind of porn he watches, he loves hardcore and there's only one strip club/ brothel that could meet his standards".
"Cruexxx" Parté and Binary said in unison.
"How'd you kno... You know what , I don't want to find out. He's booked the entire club for that night, nobody would be there except for members of his cult, you'd be completely surrounded, can you handle that?" Binary asked Parté.
Parté took out her phone and dialed a number.
" Sniper!... How far now?...i hear sey big man wan touchdown club, hafa, slot me in for babes wey go perform abeg... You be correct nigga. Later, okay" she ended the call.
"What's the plan? M asked Parté. "You'll know when the time comes but for right now, I've got to catch some Z's, night" Parté said walking out of the tech room.
"Night" M and Binary chorused.
The sat silent for a while then M said " I'll just leave you so you can chat your online lovers up. Maybe, you should man up and send Timini a DM"
"Goan sleep jare" Binary replied, laughing.
