Fresh from winning the English FA Cup Leicester's Nigerian player Kelechi Iheanacho has created a premier league record with his goal in Leicester's 2-1 loss to chelsea. Senior man Kels as he is fondly called was a 2nd half substitute in the game last night and was introduced to the game while his team was 2-0 down. He pulled one goal back for his team around the 76th minute after a fine ball from fellow Nigerian Wilfred Ndidi but could not prevent his team from looosing the game which would have helped cement their place in the race for a champions league place.

Iheanacho's introduction after 60 minutes made them look a better team and he gave them hope with his first-time strike, and also forced a save from Edouard Mendy.

That goal gave the Nigerian the unusual distinction of being the first player to score a Premier League goal on all seven days within a single season.
