Jorginho scored a penalty last night against Leicester to become Chelsea’s top scorer in the Premier League this season, with just 7 goals – all penalties.

That tells you a little about the direction football is going overall – big squad with lots of players playing with heavy rotation through the team, and a hell of a lot of penalties.

But it also tells you one thing about Chelsea – they’ve not found a consistent goalscorer from their attacking options.

Timo Werner has had countless chances and won lots of those penalties that Jorginho scored – but he’s still got just 6 league goals from 28 starts.

Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz have all chipped in with a couple each, but one is going to have to step up and hit double figures next season if we want to progress as a team.

Tammy Abraham has 6, just 1 behind our top scorer, despite starting just 12 games in the top flight.
