CSO CONDEMNS GARBA SHEHU OVER FALSE STATEMENT ON GIMBA KUMO RELATIONSHIP WITH PRESIDENCY

A Civil Society Organization, popularly known as The Nigeria Vaguard(TNV), has bitterly challenged the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu for not being honest to Nigerians, as the Organization made reference to two major lies which he had told Nigerians just in the month of May 2021.

According to the National President of the Organization, the first was the initial statement on the 11th of May 2021 stating that the official residence of the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari in Aso Rock wasn't robbed, when indeed reports confirmed that that it was. After the reports confirming the robbery on Aso Rock, Garba Shehu shamefully deleted the statement(tweet) he had earlier shared from his Twitter account.

Few days ago, he approached Nigerians again with another fake news, falsefully claiming that the Former Managing Director of Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Gimba Ya'u Kumo isn't an In-law of President Muhammadu Buhari. The national President noted that the falsity of the statement is really embarrassing, especially when it's coming from a highly positioned media Personality like Garba Shehu, who should be more knowledgeable on the affairs of the nation, instead of misdirecting Nigerians..

While stressing his disregard for Garba Shehu, he noted that Gimba Ya'u Kumo got married to Fatima Buhari, the second daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari on the 28th of October 2016 in Daura Katsina State, and until now, the duo isn't yet divorced, because there hasn't been any public announcement with regards to the termination of their marriage.

Few day ago, Dr. Gimba Ya'u Kumo was wrongly accused of misappropriation of certain amount of monies, which he later challenged with a statement containing proofs of all the documentations for every transaction he had with regards to the National Housing Funds.

He however noted that this two circumstances and informations from the Presidency is factually false and not healthy for any Administration, especially the current Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. He therefore cautioned Shehu Garba and anyone behind such sponsored false Information, stressing that Nigerian leaders must be sincere, no matter how difficult the situation may be.

Even if they are telling the truth(hardly though) one still need to do double checks.

They have to lie to cover their ineptitude.
