Re: Bukola Saraki Tip For Senate President by 2mch(m): 9:00pm On Apr 28, 2011 |
olawalebab: Is his father Not the Saraki Of Kwara anymore? The same Saraki that claimed his ancestors are from Mali? People dont forget. He is fulani or Mailian not Yoruba. Yoruba are not to be used and dumped as you wish. He also wears the Fulani hat to prove his tribe. Saraki is not Yoruba. |
Re: Bukola Saraki Tip For Senate President by olawalebabs(m): 9:10pm On Apr 28, 2011 |
Dont forget his father surname is Olushola and his own name is Bukola. So all his association with the Hausa is politics, he speak yoruba proudely whereas he cant speak the hausa people ascribe to him. |
Re: Bukola Saraki Tip For Senate President by 2mch(m): 10:02pm On Apr 28, 2011 |
For Governor and Senate, he is Fulani. For Senate presidency he is Yoruba. What a disgusting opportunist. Besides he is not from the South West. Like you said he is a Northerner. These Saraki people are shameless. By any means necessary. Very dangerous people have that kind of mindset. |

Re: Bukola Saraki Tip For Senate President by markiris: 9:27pm On Apr 29, 2011 |
That is not possible. He does not entirely owns pdp so the law can not just be changed over night for his sake. There is nothing exceptional about him been a senate president. He can make useful contribution at the senate without necessariry been the senate president. He is not more pragmatic than D. Mark, so why Him? |

PDP In Dilemma Over S/West | Print | E-mail Written by Taiwo Adisa, Abuja Saturday, 30 April 2011 A dilemma of some sorts has gripped the top hierarchy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the victory of the party at the April general election. Sources close to the party said that the PDP is in dilemma over the zoning of top elective and party positions following the defeat of the party in the South-West. Sources also confirmed that religion has further compounded the zoning dilemma as a result of the need to balance religious configuration in the running of the nation’s affairs. While a number of returning senators and lawmakers from the South-East are said to favour retention of the Senate president’s seat in the North-Central and the zoning of the Speaker of the House of Representatives seat to the South-East, some other lawmakers are raising the need for religious balance as one of the criteria that should inform the zoning arrangement. For instance, a source said that if a Christian emerges as Senate President, there would be the need for the Speaker to be a Muslim and that such a candidate is not among the elected House of Representatives members in the South-East. The position of the Speaker is so far difficult to retain in the South-West following the failure of many of the ranking members to return to the chamber. A source, however, said that two House of Representatives members from Oyo State are being x-rayed. If any of them is seen to meet the criteria set out by the party and the presidency, it was gathered that the current arrangement where the position of Speaker is retained in the South-West could subsist. But sources further said that some northern lawmakers are already angling for the seat of Speaker. Many of the lawmakers are said to come from North-East, but the most popular ones are said to come from North-West. Those angling to pick the Speaker slot from the North-West are said to be basing their argument on the fact the once the position is zoned to the North, any of the zones can pick it. Although, some leaders had tinkered with the idea of taking the position of Senate president to the South-East, it was gathered that the popular opinion so far is in favour of the push to retain the slot in the North-Central. |

Re: Bukola Saraki Tip For Senate President by olawalebabs(m): 2:41pm On Apr 30, 2011 |
sbeezy8:you know nigerian are more catholic than the pope, religion configuration has to be factor in when considering zoning of political position. Moreover, with the current state of things the head of executives, judiciary and even legislative are all christain. |
