The Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) has ordered its members to suspend all forms of physical gatherings as Nigeria security operatives begins manhunt members in the Eastern Nigeria over unknown gunmen attacks on security operative’s formation in the region.

Recall that the security’s operatives had accused the group of been behind unknown gunmen attacks on its formation and killing of officers, but IPOB denied the allegation. However, this led to the killing and arresting the group members in the Eastern region.

In a statement signed by IPOB’s Head of Directorate Of State of the separatist movement (DOS), Chika Edoziem, said all coordinators from the National to the Unit level of the group to suspend all forms of physical gatherings until further notice.

He also advised its members in Nigeria to be extra vigilant in their interactions with people and phone numbers they are not familiar with.

It further said the Directorate is monitoring events and will provide further directives as the need arise.

As a result of a heightened state of the affairs with respect to the self determination struggle of the Indigenous People Of Biafra’s (IPOB), coupled with intelligence information that our disposal, it has become imperative to suspend till further notice all IPOB physical family gatherings in the contraption called Nigeria. All coordinators from the Nationals to the Unit level should ensure strict adherence to this directive.

All family members in Nigeria are hereby advised to be extra vigilant in their interactions with people and phone numbers they are not familiar with. The Directorate is monitoring developments and will provide further directives as the need arise.
