Nigerian Afrobeat Artist And Why People Hate Them by AdebisiAdeyinka(m): 6:33pm On May 21, 2021
1. Davido is hated for always flaunting his wind, the Nigerian culture believes when you're modest it's a sign of you being humble and of good character. Davido's constant show of his wins without minding what people will say doesn't go down well with Nigerians hence they look for a means to downgrade him when they couldn't see one they retort to claiming his wins were as a result of his father's influence and wealth. Looking deeply, this doesn't seem true as a kid whose father's wealthy shouldn't have to hawk demo disc of his songs before finally securing his first hit with "Back when"

2. Wizkid

Wizkid is hated because he succeed where others fail, he's a visionary who does and succeed with things which others can't even see. This success made people envy him and when they couldn't pay finger on him they retort to using "gumbody" as a means to demean his success forgetting that it takes grace and hardwork to even have a successful international collaboration talk more of numerous successful collaborations both home and abroad. His recent approach to life is also another thing which infuriates his haters the more, his silence these days whether admist success or controversy made people label him snobbish forgetting that on his day, wizkid is the baddest troller the internet's got. People hates what they don't understand.

3. Burna Boy: now this is a real guy who's success looks simple on the surface level but what people don't know is the many sleepless night he's had before he became a household name. Burna Boy is a man who speaks the truth as he sees it without bothering what people will say. Burna Boy really want people to know that his success isn't just about pure luck but that of hardwork, talent and the many sleepless nights he's endure before fortune smiled on him with "Ye". Thus, when he make claims that he's a giant people think it's about him being proud. Forgetting that it's about him reminding them that he's not just a newbie or someone who's got lucky rather he's reaping the reward of his hardwork. Well Burna Boy is the type of guy that will tell you straight up, "guy you've mouth odour" and people don't like such kind of people do they?

4. Olamide: did anyone really hate Olamide? Well I haven't seen anyone who claim to hate him. He's just like Kanye of Chelsea and Iniesta of Barcelona. Baddo is impossible to hate. But people hate in him simply because he doesn't chase clout like some of his peers. They hate him simply because they don't know what he's up to.

5. Rema: people hate on Rema cause how dare he? How dare he had a successful career within such a short period of time? How dare he become an international artist without firstly conquering the local fans. Rema is hated on because of unannounced success, his career achievements in a year is what many artists have been working decades to achieve this, they hate on him for being that lucky forgetting that his success isn't just about luck but of hardwork and talent which meets opportunity.
