Recall that the 2019 governorship election in Cross River State saw APC with two candidates both claiming to be authentic candidates for the party as each candidate has his own secretariat and his own state excos.

Governor Ayade has just decamped with his own secretariat and in due course will have his own excos.

How do you think a party with three secretariats and there state excos will unite and win elections?

Cross River State politics has been too boring for years now... at least this scenario will kickstart some intrigues, suspense and high level drama... necessary to entertain the hungry and deprived masses

That singular detection is the genesis of Ayade's extinction into political oblivion is Cross Rivers.

I remember Akpabio once boasted that PDP is a religion in Akwa-Ibom and same mr uncommon transformer paid for defecting into another party.

Ayade should see the handwriting of his political end on the wall when none of the NASS members from Cross Rivers state defected along with him.

I see his defection as a very threatless substances.

Ayade is more of a liability to APC than an asset. He has no political value in the state. Those who dont reside in calabar are happy for him but if you really want to know about him, enter any public transport and start talking good about him and see peoples reaction.
People are comparing Ayade defection to that of David umahi. Umahi is a performing governor. He did Most of his projects while he was in PDP. Ayade has not commissioned even a 1km road since he became governor. He is the only Governor whose budget runs into trillions still nothing to show for it. His defection to APC is to seek safe sanctuary because he knows he can not escape from. EFCC. Ayade can run but he can not hide.
