Hey everyone I'm new here so nice to meet you.
I submitted my application on May 15th and provided all the documents needed for NSE but my status is still showing "Submitted" and my eligibility has not started. II did an upfront medical on May 5th. I'd like to know if I should contact the visa office or not. If I should, how can I contact them.

Will do Thank you so much

shupy:

No problem. Don't ever hesitate to make an enquiry.
Still reach out to the bank. If they insist on the passport requirement, then use the barter app.

Lekiboboe:

You are welcome Chief.

At this period, many Graduate Positions in Canadian Universities for Fall 2021 intake are 75% closed, only advertised Graduate positions by some Professors are still available but very competitive and not advisable to go for, cos if you are accepted, due to the Canadian Study Visa Processing time for Nigerians its very likely you not be able to meet up with resumption for FALL 2021.

That been said, try to Focus your attention on Fall 2022 intake , & start cold mailing them by July 2021 upward, Professors do respond well to cold mail during that period. January 15 of every year is the deadline some Canadian & U.S Universities give out Fully-funded Graduate offers for Qualified Candidates.

I would post Some some result-oriented COLD MAIL SAMPLES for Prospective Graduate Students tomorrow here on the platform. You can use it to revamp your initial cold mails

@ lekiboboe thank you kindly. I was looking at January 2022 start date.

Are you saying even if I don’t inform IRCC about the deferral, I won’t have problems or be questioned at the POE for resuming Winter instead of Fall?

Hello Ysakaws1,

It is only mandated to inform IRCC about DLI change, not program deferment. However, it is up to you to decide what is right for you.

Best of Luck

Good morning all. Please I have a question, if you have an active EE profile before applying for study permit do you need to mention it in your SOP?
Then for those sponsored by spouse, what if I include my savings account and not salary account is it a problem since spouse is the sponsor and already provided statement?
I'm trying to figure out the possible reasons for my rejection (financial asset and purpose of visit) after 8 months of waiting while expecting my gcms which I already requested for.

For over 6 hours now, every time I try to login to my CIC portal, it redirects back to CIC home page (English/French selection page).
Am I the only one facing this issue ? And how can I solve it ?
I also experience this when I use my iPhone but it doesn’t happen at all whenever I use my android phone. I guess it’s the safari browser

Hi all. I will like to get your different opinions pls.

I applied on Feb 20,
Eligibility started April 3.
I didn't submit NSE requirements.
Applied for GCMS Note on May 3.
GCMS Note Generated on May 26.
Note sent to me on June 2.

Medical passed
Eligibility showing: Review Required

My question is, do you think it's logical applying for another GCMS Note at this time?

If you submitted on May 15, I sincerely think it's normal for your eligibility review not to have started yet.

There's no harm though in messaging or webform-ing the visa office. But I think it'll hardly yield any result.

Good day @toluwarnih

About the issue of getting scholarships in Canada for an undergraduate degree isn't that hard but getting a fully funded one might be a bit of a problem. I don't think have come across any international student at the undergraduate level who got a full funded scholarship except for those going for masters or Phd's.
But if your results are as good as you say you would surely get scholarship to offset the costs of tuition fees but nevertheless you might still need to pay some part of the tuition fees even if you get it.

Hope this helps.
Hello @zodiacwarrior
Well, I haven't gotten any other response from anyone here since then. So I want to reduce my filters and make enquiries on how easy it can be to get a scholarship after gaining admission through the normal process, probably after spending a year. Or if possible be able to get fundings from manual part time jobs.
Have you seen cases like these?

If you're certain your GCMS Note was generated on the 28th of May, I doubt if there will be a change in status at this time. So the information in the new note you'll get might be the same as in the one you already have.

But who knows. IRCC is often an unpredictable wife.

Anyway, wait for the views of others on this.
