BLACK LlVES MATTER‍♂️
( Written by Prisca Ojiobianu)

You feel you got the superior skin colour, then why does mine bother you.
We left the most prestigious jobs for you and took up the ignoble jobs just to survive and you won't let us be! When you visit our countries, we treat you as Kings, but when you find us in your country you treat us as pigs. Education is free for all and also a fundamental right of an individual but when we excel in that sphere we can't get our dream jobs because there is a tag on our skin which is called " *Black* ". We do not feature in your movies and even when you do, we get the minor roles, even when we are the best act on set.
When we commit the same crime; to the black is "Jail him" and to the White bail him.
The black keys and the white keys are in a piano to bring forth good rhythm because the black keys are as important as the white.
You make us leave the comfort of our homes to follow you to your country in such an obscure manner, all in the name of "slave trade" we did not beg to be with you. You forced us, we served you, you tortured us, our great-grandfathers our grandfathers our fathers and now you want the children to also serve you. And when they breakfree when they rebel when they refuse, you feel is ingratitude. The children should be glad you brought their fathers to a foreign land, they should applaud you for this great opportunity and privilege, and when they refuse, you fight them with all you have.
For how long are we going to continue like this! For how long can we continue to see ourselves as seconds bests?
We are not good enough, we can never be good enough, because we have a tag on our skin " *black* " but alas we refuse to be intimidated.
We refuse to be maltreated, we refuse to be manipulated, we refuse to give up our goals because of skin colour.
All men were created equal by God and whether you like it or not, whether you accept it or not, whether you are willing assimilate the reality, we arise the New Black, the new African-American, the new being. Wherever we are, with a dark skin, we are heroes and we must succeed.
We put our best in front and our colour behind!
We match, we move like giants we are, until our names continue to be stamped on this earth! "We dont die we multiply", " we cannot touch the ground until we touch the sky" we are coming!
The world is yet to hear from us, the universe is yet to feel our waves, we will soar like the eagle and we'll fly like the birds. We will always stand strong and firm like the lion to face the challenges ahead. We are the indomitable Lions! We are Africans and our lives matter.

In memory of George Floyd( killed on 25/5/20) and all the blacks killed unjustly.
